Where to ride a yacht at Yeouido Hangang Park

Before the scorching heat arrived, we had a little rain and the breezy weather was just sooo nice!?!? I thought a Han River picnic and yacht tour would be perfect on a day like this, so I went on a Han River yacht-tour date with Sailing Paradise~

It is by the duck-boat area at Yeouido Hangang Park! The marina is closest to the parking area in front of Wonhyo Bridge, and it is great for having a picnic at Hangang Park Parking Lot 1 or 2 before timing your Seoul yacht tour. The parking lot is quite spacious, and because it is public parking, the price is not too expensive either—so no pressure!

If you spot the building with the turning windmill called “Paradise”? You are all set for a Seoul Han River yacht-tour experience!

Sailing Paradise is inside Hangang Paradise, so walk all the way in past BHC and you will find the indoor office for the Seoul yacht tour. There is a standing signboard, so it is easy to find.

Inside the office, you can see the boarding-rate chart, and there are various yacht options, including Seoul yacht proposal packages, so you can choose one and board at your preferred time!! Just remember that you need to fill out a boarding form with your name, age, and phone number before boarding!

I arrived with plenty of time 20 minutes before boarding, filled out the form, and watched the Han River duck boats operating right next door! Haha. Once the weather gets hotter than it is now, the sun will be too intense to ride, so I think this is the absolute best time of year for it!

Inside the public yacht and getting ready to board

When it is time, the owner leads the passengers straight to the yacht that will be operating. From that moment, I already felt like my heart was floating along?

This is the yacht I boarded this time! It is a small public yacht, but it has a bit of speed and is just the right size for a date, taking in the scenery, zoning out while watching the water, or even proposing on a yacht~ There is also a bedroom below deck, so it is a yacht where you could spend the night!! Haha.

Further inside, there were chairs and a table in a sort of semi-indoor space, where we could chat and eat. It felt indoors but not quite indoors, haha—there are small windows, so you can still feel the breeze coming from the front. You can also connect a Bluetooth speaker through the window and play songs that suit the mood nice and loud throughout the ride!

The yacht even has a small sail~ and the view is pretty from before departure, which was so nice. I boarded at 18:00, and since the sun sets late these days, taking the 18:30 or 19:00 slot lets you catch both the sunset and night view as a bonus.

Before the yacht departs!?!? Haha, for safety you absolutely must wear a life jacket before heading out onto the yacht—safety first~ Even if it wrinkles your outfit?!? It is mandatory!!!

Watching the Han River with a glass of wine

With the public yacht, one bottle of wine and cookies are provided free of charge. There is even a perfectly prepared glass holder, so you can enjoy them securely on the rocking yacht.

Once we set sail, opening the wine like this made it easy to drink securely on the yacht. A Han River yacht-tour date is so good for having a glass while moodily zoning out over the water during the ride!! That is Sailing Paradise.

The sailing route from Wonhyo Bridge to Nodeul Island

The route went past Wonhyo Bridge toward Mapo Bridge, slipped past Bamseom as well, and then made a U-turn almost in front of the National Assembly. It was not fast, so moving gently along the Han River waves felt just perfect for a date.

Along the way, the owner explained that the Han River has a bit of saltiness because seawater mixes in, which is why bubbles form on the water, and that it is a surprisingly deep river with a depth of about 5 m.

After making one round, we turned toward the Hangang Railway Bridge and went all the way to Nodeul Island, which is currently inaccessible due to construction. The owner told us that every bridge has a different shape, but only the Hangang Railway Bridge has an arch, and pointed out photo spots left and right. We took plenty of proof shots at a spot that looked like an infinite bridge because of the optical illusion, really enjoying the fun of the Seoul Han River yacht-tour experience.

It was so nice to take photos here and there, and I was really satisfied that I could enjoy this quiet, healing moment at a good value right in the middle of bustling, eventful Seoul! The yacht tours were divided into 30 and 60 minutes, but that day I was able to chat leisurely and enjoy the Seoul Han River yacht-tour experience for almost 90 minutes.

Around the time we disembarked, the sunset shone beautifully between the buildings... It was so pretty. Even if it is not for an anniversary date in Seoul, I think a Han River yacht tour would be nice to do once in a while when you have a lot on your mind!
