These days, on the edge of autumn, I find myself suddenly craving the smell of freshly baked bread. A warm cup of coffee with a piece of freshly baked bread — that's a small everyday happiness all on its own. Today I visited a bakery famous in Pyeongchon, Milbat Bakery. I heard it's been loved in this neighborhood for a long time, so my expectations were even higher.

Walking in, I was greeted by a store that was much bigger and cleaner than I expected. Under soft lighting, all kinds of bread were lined up neatly. Even at a glance you could tell how fresh and carefully made everything was, so I fell into a happy dilemma over what to pick.

On one side of the store, sunlight poured in through a floor-to-ceiling window, adding to the cozy atmosphere. There was even a small table where you could sit and enjoy bread with coffee — a nice spot to rest for a bit.

There were plenty of nostalgic breads that older generations would love as well, so it felt like a Pyeongchon bakery for everyone, young and old.
