5to7, my absolute, absolute favorite Seoul Forest soufflé pancake spot~~~ Right out front is a forest view packed with trees, so it has that lovely feeling of dining out on a terrace.

It is a large café with quite a lot of seating. There is a second floor and a third floor, too. With outdoor terrace seats as well, it is the best kind of place to visit in cool spring or fall weather like this.

Time to be free—the time when you become free. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., haha. That is way too short,,,, hahaha

I came right when it opened at noon, but there were already lots of people. A foreign visitor was already having soufflé and cake for lunch at the gorgeous window seat, the very best spot. I settled into a seat beside them.

One great thing about 5to7 is that the fruit on top changes with the season. There are all sorts of flavors—fresh mango, mangosteen, matcha tiramisu, crème brûlée, and more~~~ Since it is fig season now, I ordered the fig soufflé piled high with figs. A fresh-fruit cake favorite with toppings that change every season!!!!

I have been cutting back on carbs lately, but I still love soufflé cake. The reason soufflé cake puffs up so beautifully is all the egg foam, haha. Whip cold egg whites with sugar and the foam becomes firm, haha. It uses a ton, a ton of eggs!!! A protein dessert!!!!! I have made it at home a few times, and I would say it is nearly 80% egg, haha. That is why there are stacks of eggs in one corner of the café kitchen, too.

The warm wooden tables and atmospheric plants make for lovely plant-filled interior styling, too.

What are the Seoul Forest terrace seats like?

My favorite outdoor terrace seats, hahaha. It is a wonderful spot where you can really feel the phytoncides from Seoul Forest. There are three tables outside, and the outermost one has the best atmosphere. I had soufflé pancakes at this table last time. Today, though, I am trying the indoor window seat.

About 80% of the kitchen is open, so you can watch the soufflé being made. They add one scoop of soufflé, then another, and steam it so it cooks up wonderfully moist.

I have been coming to this Seoul Forest soufflé dessert cake shop for a very long time, but this is my first time at the prime window seat. It is always occupied, so I could never sit here. Coming right at opening means I get to sit in such a pretty spot.

The fig soufflé cake is piled high with fresh fruit. Sweet syrup is drizzled over the fruit, too. Whipped cream cascades over the soufflé cake, and it looks so delicious, hahaha.

The fruit is cut into bite-size pieces, which is so convenient and looks adorably pretty. The dish is so pretty, too—it goes perfectly with the white soufflé cake.

When the soufflé cake goes into your mouth, its soft, fluffy crumb seems to fizz and melt away. Ah, it is such a shame I cannot introduce it through ASMR, hahaha. Anyway, it is a total protein-dessert favorite made up of about 80% milk foam.

And what could not be left out? A warm coffee, of course. Add a hot latte and you have perfect brunch. The latte tasted especially good today. The heart latte art was so pretty that it lifted my mood. Coffee filled with the barista's affection!!!! haha

The cream cheese matcha latte has plenty of cream cheese atop a rich matcha latte~~~ It is wonderfully chewy, creamy, soft, and delicious. If you are a matcha fanatic, you have to order it.

5to7 has already been featured on the channel Saturday Is Good for Rice as one of Seoul's six great soufflé pancake spots. It is a place you simply must visit when starting your soufflé cake journey, and it is perfect for a dessert snack after a Seoul Forest walk date or for brunch. The terrace, wooden tables, and plant-filled interior give it such, such a lovely atmosphere.
