Seongsu café with peach ice cream and terrace seats: Mellows

A quiet Seongsu dessert café near Ttukseom Station

I visited Mellows, a dessert café near Ttukseom Station, just five minutes from Exit 8. It is close to the station, so getting there was easy.

Mellows is the perfect dessert spot for a Seoul Forest outing or a Seongsu date—let's go! 💨

Mellows is a great dessert café in Seongsu. It sits in a relatively quiet spot compared with the busy Seongsu streets, and when I visited in September, the weather was so nice that it felt perfect for enjoying a treat out front! There were lots of people sitting outside that day, too. Completely peaceful and calm vibes!

Mellows is known for its coffee, but above all, it is famous for its ice cream.

Ice cream orders and speedy service

They also sell cocktails, highballs, and beer! It looked like a nice place for a casual beer or a second stop when you are not quite ready to head home. The owner was kind and fun too, haha.

It looked busy with lots of customers on the weekend, but they guided us kindly right through to the end, so I left Mellows feeling happy.

✨ Ta-da! ✨ This is what we ordered: matcha ice cream ₩4,000, soft ice cream affogato ₩4,000, and peach soft ice cream ₩4,500. The menu items came out right away! Since we ordered ice cream, I hurried to take photos. Hahaha.

They filled the cups generously with ice cream and arranged everything beautifully on a tray.

Peach pieces and deep matcha crunch

First, the peach ice cream!!!! Little peach pieces had a lovely bite, and it was sweet and so good to chew on..! Peach lovers will absolutely love this flavor!! The peach pieces were generously sized, so it was easy to eat too 😉

My number-one pick was the matcha ice cream! It had rich Jeju matcha in it, with lots of crunchy bits underneath the ice cream.

The matcha itself was intense, and its characteristic gentle bitterness met the sweetness of the ice cream for an even deeper flavor. There was more crunch than I expected, which I loved 💗 Matcha is the best..!! 👏🏻

An affogato that can be made decaf

Lastly, the affogato! You can switch the affogato to decaf too. (An extra ₩300.) Rich espresso comes with Sangha Farm soft ice cream! It is the most classic choice, yet a clean, easy dessert to finish with ☕️

Maybe because the beans were nutty, they made the perfect match with the ice cream's sweetness! You can get a true grown-up flavor 🙃 On days when I have not had coffee, I can top up my caffeine with this affogato, haha. Totally recommend it.

Outdoor seats recommended in September

The interior is not especially large, but it is a cute space to enjoy. Clean and calm vibes~!

In September weather, the outdoor seats are prettier and have better vibes than indoors, so I recommend sitting outside. Haha. I think there were about three or four tables. Turnover was fairly quick, so no worries!
