Busan galbitang restaurant with parking support: Gang Galbitang
In short
Gang Galbitang Seomyeon is a Korean restaurant in Busanjin, Busan, serving hot, clear galbitang (beef short-rib soup) near Busan Citizens Park. We ordered two bowls and loved the hefty ribs and refreshing broth loaded with scallions. A great stop after a park walk or for a hangover-curing meal.

Now that crisp autumn is here, are you craving a steaming bowl of soup? They say one hot bowl of galbitang (beef short-rib soup) thaws out a frozen body. After my first visit, this is the only place I keep coming back to for galbitang. It is near my workplace, so I visit often with the staff I work with too—a Busan Citizens Park favorite! Here goes my Gang Galbitang review :)
Walking to Gang Galbitang from Seomyeon Station toward Citizens Park
Walk about 300 m from Seomyeon Station Exit 11 toward Busan Citizens Park, and there is Gang Galbitang—ta-da! It is also perfect for stopping by after making a lap around Citizens Park with the family.

They partner with Blue Parking, so orders of ₩20,000 or more receive 30 minutes of parking support per car—something to note if you are driving :) The lot is right across from Gang Galbitang. It is spacious too, so no parking worries. This place is near my workplace, and every time I pass by, there never seems to be a break in the customers... Delivery riders are constantly coming and going too! They also sell meal kits; diners were picking one up on their way out after eating ~

Solo counter seats and the signature menu
Here is the inside of the restaurant. It was full when I visited, so I am using the business listing photos from Naver. There are counter seats for solo diners too, so I think it is nice that you can come alone and eat without feeling awkward.

From galbitang to arong-satae suyuk
The menu has plenty to choose from: galbitang, spicy galbitang, rib noodles, rib gukbap (rice in beef-rib soup), spicy rib gukbap, arong-satae suyuk (sliced boiled beef shank), and more. When a menu has too many options, indecisive people like me have such a hard time choosing... but here, it is just the signature dishes!! That means they are confident, right? Haha. Galbitang is one of those dishes that everyone, children included, eats really well. There were lots of customers with kids too.
Two galbitang orders, done!

Our food came out quickly. Served with the side dishes on a brown tray, it felt like being treated to something special.

The side dishes that came with the meal were neat and immaculate too! There was crosne as well, and I loved its crunchy texture.

Gang Galbitang’s promise for broth and ingredients
They say they make their broth with 100% Korean beef marrow bones, prepare everything themselves every day, and cook it themselves. No food that has not passed through their hands is served. They do not compromise on ingredients. They shop directly and use ingredients delivered straight from the source to make good food with the best ingredients.
This message was right there beside the menu!! Gang Galbitang’s promise! I can just trust it and eat.

Clear galbitang broth piled high with scallions
There is a self-service bar in one corner of the restaurant. You can get any extra side dishes you need there :) The large bones were absolutely covered in meat. The clear broth was refreshing, with a whole lot of scallions in it. I think it would be great for a hangover after a seriously boozy night too?

Korean beef marrow-bone broth properly simmered for 2,880 minutes! Gang Galbitang cooks it fresh by hand every day. I had galbitang not long ago, but that one was totally salty and tasted only of seasoning, so it was really not great. This place is definitely different.

Not a mass-produced factory product: Gang Galbitang’s meal kit uses a rich broth made in the restaurant by simmering domestic Korean beef bones for more than 24 hours. Selecting the meat, cutting it, and removing the fat are all done by hand! How could I not buy it!!
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience proper galbitang. Do make sure to visit at least once ~
