Dubai financier takeout at a Cheonan café: Brewers Coffee

In short

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a baked-goods and financier café in the Sinbu-dong food alley of Cheonan. The writer took home a decaf latte, white macadamia financier, Dubai chocolate financier, and pecan espresso madeleine — the Dubai financier was packed with crunchy pistachio spread and kadayif, while the madeleine paired a coffee glaze with rich butter flavor. With gift boxes also on sale, it's a solid stop for takeout treats.

Today I stopped by Brewers Coffee in Sinbu-dong! Cheonan's "Brewers" is a baked-goods spot every resident of Buldang-dong and Sinbu-dong already knows.

Exterior and location of Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch

Black-and-white exterior of Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch
Exterior of Brewers Coffee with outdoor terrace

This Sinbu-dong baked-goods café catches your eye first with its clean, modern black-and-white exterior. Just looking at the outside, you can tell it's going to be a good coffee spot haha. Outside there's even an outdoor terrace where you can bring your dog! Since I was already there, I had my coffee and then took a commemorative photo at the photo booth they have too.

This financier-famous Sinbu-dong café sits right in Sinbu-dong food alley, a popular meeting spot for young people, so it's an easy walk from Cheonan Terminal, and there's a public parking lot right next door if you want to drive. But the alley is on the narrow side, so I'd recommend walking.

Interior atmosphere and seating

Modern black-and-white café interior with window seating

The interior is just as modern and clean as the exterior, done in black and white, so you get a crisp, refreshing feeling the moment you walk in. There are window seats too, so you can enjoy coffee and baked goods solo in a nice atmosphere.

Wall decorated with coffee beans for sale and European-style frames

In one corner there's a sign ranking Brewers' best baked goods, and since it's a trusted coffee spot, they also sell their own beans separately. The framed pictures and dishware on the wall give it a slightly European feel.

Café seating with tables for 2, 4, and groups

There were various tables for 2 and 4, plus group tables for larger parties. Since it's such a famous coffee and baked-goods spot, it's always bustling with people!! A total wait-in-line kind of place!!

Menu and what I ordered

Menu board listing signature drinks, coffee, and tea-ade

Brewers Coffee has signature menu items, coffees, and tea-ade drinks. You can also choose fruity beans depending on your taste, or decaf beans if you can't have caffeine. Their signature drink is called the Brewers Coffee, a sweet mocha base topped with smooth almond cream, apparently. They suggested dipping the baked goods into the almond cream latte. My mouth was already watering... I really wanted to try it.

Today I ordered takeout — a decaf latte, white macadamia financier, Dubai financier, and a coffee-scented pecan espresso madeleine. I wanted to sit and relax for a while, but today I just stopped by to take out.

Just how many kinds of baked goods are there?

Display case of freshly baked goods made that day

Since Brewers Coffee bakes French-style pastries fresh every morning, it's also a genuine dessert spot with tons of varieties of baked goods. From financiers bursting with buttery aroma to madeleines and canelés!

Plain, nunetine, and apple Earl Grey financiers on display

Everything looked so good it was genuinely hard to choose! Sweet nunetine financiers, plain financiers packed with buttery flavor, apple Earl Grey financiers, and more!! The vanilla macadamia financier topped with white chocolate especially caught my eye.

Salted caramel and Dubai chocolate financiers on display

True to being a financier specialist, that's not even all of them. From salted caramel to a Dubai chocolate financier that reminded me of dubak kkua — if you spot the Dubai financier, grab it!!

Madeleines

The madeleine lineup was no joke either! From salted chocolate chip madeleines to pecan espresso madeleines with a crisp outside and mocha aroma inside, to almond chocolate madeleines for chocolate lovers — there were so many. Whew~~ I had to hold back, and it was tough.

Vanilla, matcha, and Earl Grey canelés on display

Canelés

The canelés here are genuinely delicious too — vanilla, matcha, Earl Grey, pistachio, and more. I once had the matcha ganache canelé and it was chewy all the way through with matcha flavor packed in — highly recommend!

Vanilla flan and crème brûlée blanc desserts

Flan

And here's a menu item you don't often see!! They also have a dessert called blanc, basically like an egg tart. The vanilla flan tastes like an egg tart, they say. There's the basic vanilla flan, and a crème brûlée blanc where the sugar on top is torched into a sweet caramelized layer.

The takeout process

Takeout customers get a little sign like this, marked T4. You sit in the waiting chairs, and they pack up your coffee, full of that roasted bean aroma, in a takeout cup along with your baked goods. The latte was nutty and delicious.

Tasting the Dubai chocolate financier

Once home, I tasted each baked good one by one!! I was so looking forward to it!!

Cross-section of the Dubai financier showing pistachio spread and kadayif

The Dubai chocolate financier has plump, golden-baked financier halves packed generously with rich, nutty pistachio spread and kadayif (shredded phyllo pastry). The top is fully coated in sweet chocolate, so the look alone already screams a flawless combo! The moment you bite in, you get a crisp crunch as the pistachio filling and kadayif crackle in your mouth! The financier's signature crisp-outside, chewy-inside texture combined with the crunchy sound of the kadayif makes eating it twice as fun!

Tasting the pecan espresso madeleine

I picked up the pecan espresso madeleine because I fell for its looks! The surface is thinly coated in coffee glaze, giving it a shine that looked truly appetizing. The deep espresso shot and rich butter flavor blended harmoniously for a luxurious taste. Brewers Coffee really is a baked-goods and financier spot you can trust.

Gift box containing madeleines and financiers

Gift boxes for presents

Since it's such a well-known baked-goods spot, they also sell separate gift boxes containing madeleines and financiers! It looks great for a light gift when visiting a friend's housewarming or paying respects to elders — recommended for gifting.
