Six months after a straightening treatment, why I went back for the inner curls
I have loosely curly hair, so I get straightening treatments regularly. I had one done back in March, and about six months later I started noticing the curl creeping back in around my inner hair — it was bugging me. So this time I decided to get a root perm and headed to the salon.
Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch is just a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 of Jamsilsaenae Station, so it was easy to find!

The salon atmosphere and the massage-chair shampoo room
Walking in, the overall vibe was super clean and upscale. Before being seated I looked around the salon — the spacing between seats was generous, so it never felt cramped.
When I went into the shampoo room in the back, I was amazed to find that every single shampoo chair was a massage chair.
One side of the salon had various hair care brand products on display, which made me think this is a place that really cares about hair care.
Consultation and treatment choice: ANFORET scalp full clinic + root perm
After being seated, the first thing I did before the treatment was fill out a client sheet.
Based on this sheet, I had a one-on-one consultation with Senior Designer Sehyun.
I showed her the inner curls that had been bothering me, and since I was already getting a straightening treatment, I decided to add a scalp clinic on top. The treatments I got that day were the ANFORET scalp full clinic and a root perm.
The scalp clinic used ENFORET ITARY products, which are said to clear away dead skin cells on the scalp and supply nutrients.
Services at the salon include cuts, design perms, volume straightening, color, and scalp and hair care.

Scalp scaling: 20 minutes of steam and checking the dead skin
Before the straightening treatment began in earnest, scalp scaling came first.
A steam device was applied for 20 minutes to soften the dead skin cells on my scalp.
The shampoo room I moved to for scalp scaling had all-massage-chair seating, so I basically got a full-body massage the whole time I was being cared for — all my fatigue melted away.
After the scaling, the designer handed me a mirror and shone a flashlight on the removed dead skin so I could see it myself. Seeing the flakes floating there was a bit shocking, but once it was all done my scalp felt genuinely cool and light — I was glad I got it.
After checking the dead skin, she washed my hair thoroughly with a scalp-specific shampoo.
The root perm process
Next came the root perm itself — she straightened my hair from the roots with the straightening iron, and I was already excited for the result. Senior Designer Sehyun of Only For You Jamsilsaenae, who specializes in hush perms, handled it herself, and her hands moved incredibly fast.
She thoughtfully offered drinks and snacks throughout, which made the treatment feel reassuring. Between the chemical processing steps, she also washed my hair thoroughly and refreshingly, corner to corner.
After the neutralizing step came the final scalp pack application and scalp massage, and her touch felt incredibly refreshing. With the scalp pack on, she applied steam once more before wrapping up the whole treatment.
Did the inner hair get straightened too? The result
Once everything was finished, I checked the part I'd been most worried about — the curly inner hair.
Seeing the inner back and side sections straightened cleanly, without a single spot missed, was such a relief. Since only my inner hair tends to curl, a lot of other salons leave the inside less straightened, but Sehyun at this Jamsilsaenae salon straightened every corner meticulously, without missing a thing.
After finishing my hair, she even blow-dried it beautifully, which I really loved.
