Anyone who's been around Sinnonhyeon on a weekend knows how crowded it gets — you try to grab a coffee after a meal and every café is packed. That's when I found Bakerist Brown near Sinnonhyeon Station! It's a large café spanning the basement all the way up to the 3rd floor, so it's much easier to find a seat, and since it's a bakery café, there's a huge variety of bread too — a solid pick if you're looking for a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station.

We tried the black sesame latte along with the Gangnam Sand and a raspberry pie. Let me walk you through the size of the café, the bakery selection, and everything we actually ate :)

How far is it from Sinnonhyeon Station? Location and parking

Bakerist Brown is an 8-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to get to by public transport. It's a good spot between Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon stations for grabbing a meal and then heading to café — that's exactly what we did.

Parking

There's no parking, so you'll need to use a nearby paid lot. On weekends the Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon area gets so congested that public transport is really the way to go. It's also super accessible from the station, making it a great meeting spot near Sinnonhyeon.

From the basement to the 3rd floor — what are the seats like on each floor?

At first I thought it was just a regular bakery café, but once inside I was surprised by how big it was. The interior spans from the basement all the way to the 3rd floor — a genuinely large café near Sinnonhyeon Station!

Basement floor

Each floor has a different seating style, so you can pick a spot to match the mood you're after. The basement and 3rd floor in particular have group seating, which is great if you're coming with a bigger crowd.

2nd floor

The space is so spacious that the tables aren't cramped together at all, and it would be a great spot to bring a laptop to work or study. (No outlets, though.)

On weekends, pretty much every café near Sinnonhyeon Station is packed, so hopping from café to café after a meal is a whole ordeal in itself — but here, with all the space, it was easy to sit back, chat slowly, and relax :)

3rd floor

This floor has so many seats that this alone was enough to win me over!

Worth remembering whether you're catching up with friends, on a date, or looking for a large café near Sinnonhyeon Station to bring your laptop and work :)

For such a large café near Sinnonhyeon Station, the prices were pretty reasonable!

And one of Bakerist Brown's signature drinks is their cream coffee lineup — it's not just one variety, but several different flavors, so it's nice being able to pick one that suits your taste.

As the name suggests, Bakerist Brown isn't just about the coffee — the bakery selection was really impressive too. There's enough variety that it's worth a special trip if you're looking for a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station!

From scones to pies to cakes — browsing through it all, it was genuinely hard to decide what to pick! Plenty of people were eating in the café, but I also saw quite a few just grabbing bread to go.

With such a wide bakery selection, it makes sense that a lot of people come specifically to pick up bread to take home. Between the scones, cakes, and pies, this is a place I'd recommend if you're on the hunt for a bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station.

Black Sesame Latte, Gangnam Sand & Raspberry Pie review

That day we ordered an Americano plus a Black Sesame Latte, Gangnam Sand, and Raspberry Pie!

Black Sesame Latte

The Black Sesame Latte suited my taste perfectly, since I love that nutty black sesame flavor. Sweet, with the distinct nuttiness of black sesame coming through — good as a dessert drink instead of your usual coffee :)

Gangnam Sand

If you're trying to decide what bread to get at Bakerist Brown, this is a solid one to consider. Good paired with coffee, and also fine as a simple little dessert on its own.

Raspberry Pie

The nutty richness of the pie combined with the tangy-sweet raspberry meant it wasn't just sugary — I kept reaching for more. It paired surprisingly well with the black sesame latte too, so all three were a hit :)

In summary

Every time I went café-hopping around Sinnonhyeon, I struggled to find a seat somewhere — so it's great to have a large café like this on my list now. With plenty of seating from the basement to the 3rd floor, group tables, and spots good for laptop work, I'd especially recommend it if you're after a large café near Sinnonhyeon Station!
