Entrance and sign of Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch

The cute character caught my eye, and even before I saw the line "We're good at coffee, but even better at sandwiches!" the place had already made an impression.

The full order: two sandwiches, cream soup, grapefruit ade and iced americano

We had the basil jambon-beurre sandwich, the Town Sandwich, cream soup, grapefruit ade, and an iced americano at Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch!

What makes the Town Sandwich baguette different?

The first thing I have to talk about is the baguette bread! Instead of the usual chewy, hard baguette, they use their own version that's crisp outside and soft inside :) It's baked at a HACCP-certified factory, using Town Sandwich's own recipe exactly. From the first bite, you could feel the difference from other baguette sandwiches!

Cut in halves or in thirds?

When ordering, you can choose whether to have the sandwich cut and whether it's into halves or thirds, which made it so much more convenient to eat :) I prefer eating in small bites so I ordered thirds, while my boyfriend, who likes big bites, went with halves.

Basil jambon-beurre sandwich

As you can see in the photo, the basil jambon-beurre sandwich is generously packed with jambon-beurre (ham and butter). The first bite shatters the crispy baguette crust and releases a wave of nutty butter aroma — that moment was genuinely happy.

The savory, umami-rich flavor unique to jambon meets the freshness of basil and hits an exquisite balance in your mouth!

The crunch of the fresh vegetables cuts through the richness so it stays refreshing all the way to the end, without ever feeling heavy :)

The signature Town Sandwich

The Town Sandwich just looks packed full even from the outside! Looking at the cut cross-section, layers of vivid green vegetables and pink ham are stacked up — a sandwich you already eat with your eyes first :)

Taking a big bite, you first feel the baguette's crisp-outside, soft-inside texture, then the crunch of fresh vegetables and the savory saltiness of the ham burst all at once — the kind of taste that makes you think, "This is what a sandwich should be!"

Cream soup served alongside the Town Sandwich

Cream soup with croutons on the side, plus iced americano

The cream soup was served hot, with the croutons given separately! The moment you take a spoonful, the rich, smooth cream flows warmly down your throat — pairing it with the sandwich is a perfect match!

Dipping the croutons lightly into the soup gives you crispiness and creaminess at the same time, so I really recommend this combo :)

The iced americano is brewed with Town Sandwich's own Town Blend beans, and it cleanly cut through the nutty, salty flavors of the sandwich — the pairing was spot on :)

Grapefruit ade

The grapefruit ade has a sweet-and-tart flavor that refreshingly reset the palate, making it great to sip between bites of sandwich!
