Hi, this is Jjuhi! I went to Seongsu-dong and discovered a hot new pizza spot, so I'm bringing you my review of Pizza Slice Seoul. It's a place in the hip Seongsu-dong alleys where you can enjoy a slice cleanly by yourself, so it's great for solo visits and also perfect as a date course. I'd heard rumors about its unique vibe and distinct pizza flavor, and after experiencing it myself I really wanted to introduce this Seongsu pizza spot!

Pizza Slice Seoul is about a 5-minute walk from Seongsu Station Exit 2, so it's really easy to find.

It's apparently the original slice pizza brand that started in Tokyo, and as soon as you step inside, a spacious, open space combining stylish designer furniture and thoughtful lighting catches your eye.

The spot visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows is pretty too, and the interior really matches that Instagram-worthy aesthetic.

Plus, it's an open-kitchen layout where you can see the kitchen fully, so I felt even more reassured watching the pizza get freshly baked with fresh ingredients right in front of me.

There's a neat, dedicated sink set up on one side of the store, which is really convenient and hygienic for washing your hands before eating pizza by hand.

Pizza Slice Seoul sells pizza that stays true to the basics, built on a chewy-yet-crispy dough and carefully selected toppings. Right next to the ordering counter there's a display showcase lined up with various types of slice pizza — cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, jalapeño cream cheese and more — so you just look and pick.

I really liked being able to check out the pizza with my own eyes and choose exactly what I wanted. Besides pizza, they also have various side dishes like buffalo wings and fries, plus cold beer and cocktails, so it looks great for a light pizza-and-beer session during the day or as a spot for evening get-togethers and dates. If you inquire in advance, they can even do a lettering pizza service with special messages for anniversaries or birthdays, so keep that in mind when planning an event.

The pizza slices at Pizza Slice Seoul are pretty huge! They're generously sized, easily bigger than an adult woman's hand, so even one slice felt pretty filling.

One slice was enough for me, and my husband had two — so if you have a normal appetite, one slice makes a satisfying meal without feeling like too much, and if you're a big eater, two slices should be just right. If you're looking for a no-fuss solo pizza spot near Seongsu-dong, this is hard to beat.

Among sodas, Dr Pepper is oddly rare to find, but they have it here, so you can enjoy it fully alongside the pizza. The unique atmosphere of the space paired perfectly with the delicious food-slash-snack.

Today's slice: combination pizza on this visit

The today's slice is a menu item where the recommended pizza changes day to day, and when I visited it was a combination loaded with toppings. Note that the price varies a bit depending on the daily pizza! The crust was crispy on the outside all the way to the edge and chewy inside, and the olives, meat, and vegetable toppings characteristic of a combination melded together to give off a rich, varied flavor. I stole a bite from my husband's and the nuttiness of the dough itself was no joke.

Cheese slice with plenty of hot sauce

My favorite pizza, the cheese pizza, was a taste that truly showed the standard of what a cheese pizza should be — a clean, chewy dough topped with tangy-sweet tomato sauce and cheese that spreads its rich flavor all through your mouth.

I usually love hot sauce, so I piled on the hot sauce provided on the table, and it let me enjoy it much more richly without feeling greasy.

White Hawaiian slice: the pick for a pineapple lover

Honestly, my husband and I have somewhat different pizza tastes. He loves Hawaiian pizza with pineapple the most, but I don't really enjoy Hawaiian. But here, there's no need to order a whole pie — you can buy slices individually, so we could each pick exactly what we wanted without any worry. Perfect!

In my husband's words, it wasn't overly punchy, and the clean, savory-salty base blended nicely with a refreshing pineapple aroma and sweet juice without being excessive — he was very satisfied.
