Hey everyone~ Ever go on a drive or an outlet shopping trip in Paju and just crave a sweet dessert with a fragrant cup of coffee to melt away the tiredness? 😉

This time, on the way back from the Paju outlets with our adorable Haengun, I finally visited a Blue Ribbon-certified donut hotspot I'd been eyeing on Instagram for ages!

Heuksadang sits at Heyri Village, one of Paju's top outing spots, so it's a great stop on a drive. Best of all, there's a spacious dedicated parking lot right next to the café, so I could park with zero stress about finding a spot.

The building's exterior already has a distinct presence, and seeing the Blue Ribbon certification posted at the entrance had my expectations sky-high before I'd even taken a bite!

Stepping inside, the ceilings were high and the space was wide open with zero cramped feeling, and sound didn't echo either — a perfect Paju café date spot for couples to chat comfortably.

There's a properly separated seating section inside just for guests with dogs, so I could settle in comfortably without worrying about other customers.

I tucked Haengun's stroller right in beside me and got to spend the time sitting together — so satisfying haha.

Sold out by 3pm on a weekday? What was left in Heuksadang's donut case

I settled into my seat and headed to the donut case all excited... but even though it was 3pm on a weekday, the case was practically empty, which genuinely shocked me 😭

Turns out the donuts are so popular that most sell out by morning! Luckily the owner kept restocking the best-selling crème brûlée donut little by little, so I politely grabbed just 3 for other customers coming after me (I held back a lot, haha).

and got the other two donuts packed to go for my husband!

With my heart racing, I took my first bite... and honestly, all I could say was 'this is insane' 😭 The outside cracked satisfyingly with sugar, while the dough itself was so fluffy yet chewy — the texture was pure art!

The cream filling inside wasn't overly sweet and spread smoothly in the mouth — truly the textbook version of a crème brûlée donut. The Americano I ordered alongside was nutty and clean, making a perfect match with the sweet donut!
