Oido seafood steam pot with whole squid and blue crab: Crab Yasijang
In short
Crab Yasijang Geobukseom Main Branch is an ocean-view seafood restaurant on the ground floor of the tallest building in the Geobukseom area of Siheung, near Oido. On a Sunday afternoon two sisters ordered the medium whole squid and blue crab seafood roe steam pot with a Suntory draft and a Cass draft, and the meal also came with mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), corn cheese, honey butter blue crab tteok skewers, napa cabbage salad and a mountain of clam soup. The squid and blue crab meat were plump and seasoned just right, making Crab Yasijang an easy way to enjoy a sea view without travelling far.

Getting to Crab Yasijang in Geobukseom: a 10-minute taxi from Oido
Crab Yasijang Geobukseom Main Branch is a snow crab and king crab seafood restaurant on Geobukseom, an island in Siheung. Last weekend, my sister B and I took an impromptu Sunday afternoon trip, and Oido was absolutely packed 👀 So we searched for a good restaurant nearby on Geobukseom and zipped over 🚕🚕🚕 by taxi — maybe 5 minutes, definitely under 10. The place we found was Crab Yasijang Multinational Course Sushi Geobukseom Main Branch.
- Hours Mon-Fri 11:30-22:00 / break time 15:30-17:00 / last order 20:30
- Sat-Sun 11:00-22:00 / last order 20:30 (no weekend break time)
- Free parking
- Reservations for 100+ guests available (consult ahead)
- Rooms available seating 20-30 people
You can probably tell from the video, but the atmosphere felt really exotic.

The moment we got out of the taxi, the huge Crab Yasijang sign was impossible to miss haha. I thought it was the entrance and tried to walk in, but it turned out to be the kitchen entrance. Went around the corner and finally found the real entrance!

Crab Yasijang sits on the ground floor of the tallest building in the Geobukseom area.

Inside Crab Yasijang: ocean-view tables and a washbasin at your seat
Crab Yasijang's biggest draw was the wide-open ocean view. Isn't it gorgeous? It looked even better in person than in photos. With the sea stretching out in front of us, it felt like a total mental reset, like we'd traveled somewhere far away.

True to a snow crab and king crab seafood specialist, there were even hand-washing sinks placed here and there — a thoughtful touch.

Here's the view from our seat, front and back. So, on to our order:
Whole squid and blue crab seafood roe steam pot, medium, with two drafts
- Whole squid and crab seafood roe steam, medium
- Suntory draft beer
- Cass draft beer

Ocean view plus cold draft beer is basically the truth 🍺🍻🍺🍻

Here's the seafood roe steam topped with a whole squid.

Mulhoe, corn cheese, honey butter blue crab tteok skewers and clam soup
Mulhoe (cold raw fish soup) and corn cheese also came out. The mulhoe was generously loaded with seafood too.

The honey butter crab tteok (rice cake) skewers — this was a standout dish!
Napa cabbage salad.

A mountain of clam soup.
How does Crab Yasijang's seafood steam pot taste? Squid, blue crab, shrimp
The plump squid was nothing like the frozen squid used in most delivery food these days — this was properly delicious squid.

There was a great variety of clams packed in, which added a lot of satisfaction. And both the seafood steam and the clam soup were seasoned just right, showing real skill behind the cooking.

Can you tell how chunky the shrimp were? There was also a generous amount of roe, but we dug in before I could snap a good photo... 😂

The crab was plump too, packed with meat, and both my sister and I enjoyed it a lot.

The mulhoe came in a generous portion too.

Chatting away while enjoying the ocean view with cold draft beer — I felt happy realizing you can fully enjoy some romance in Oido without having to travel far. Such a lovely weekend afternoon.
Crab Yasijang happy hour: king crab and snow crab sets before 5 p.m.
Crab Yasijang's happy hour runs from 11:30 to 17:00 with king crab sets and snow crab sets. We visited a bit too late in the afternoon to enjoy it, but apparently the snow crab set in particular includes one full-yield snow crab plus a 4-course meal for ₩99,000-109,000! Check the menu section on Crab Yasijang's Naver page for more details.
