4 pork skin refills on a Saturday night: Daegu galbi grill Baeksanu
In short
Baeksanu Sutbul Wolsong Main Branch is a charcoal-grilled pork galbi (pork rib) restaurant with a kids' playroom in Wolseong-dong, Dalseo, Daegu. On an early Saturday evening the writer ordered the 44,000-won set built around real pork galbi, chose the pre-grilled option, and sent the unlimited pork skin back for four refills. Peak time at Baeksanu Sutbul draws waiting customers, so a Naver Reservation booking is the better plan on weekends.

After a solid 3 hours of playing at Dowon-dong's Dungji Children's Park, we went hunting for a restaurant with a playroom to fill our stomachs, and that's how we ended up at the newly opened pork galbi place, Baeksanu Sutbul ✨️
Where is Baeksanu Sutbul Wolsong Main Branch, and where do you park?

The place isn't right on the main road, so roadside parking looked possible — or you could park behind the building next door.
Firewood stacked at the door and galbi smoke in the parking lot

The first thing that caught my eye when we arrived was the stacks of firewood 🪵 on the exterior.
Firewood piled up around the entrance really set the mood of a charcoal galbi restaurant, so even before going in, it had that authentic charcoal-grill specialist vibe.
And the second we got out of the car, the smell of galbi hit us straight in the nose, so our expectations shot up before we'd even walked in.
How big is the playroom at Baeksanu Sutbul, and are there baby chairs?

Once inside, there were baby chairs and quite a lot of tables.
It seems like a great spot for group gatherings.
And the playroom isn't very large, so during peak time the kids all crowded in there 😂 It seemed fine for kids to play for a little while during the meal, though.
Do you need a reservation on a weekend?
One tip: if you're visiting on a weekend, I'd recommend making a reservation! (Naver Reservation is available)
I went on a Saturday early evening, and while quite a few tables were already reserved, as dinner peak time approached, customers kept pouring in nonstop. Eventually a waiting line even formed — seeing that made it clear this is a popular spot.

Baeksanu Sutbul seems to make its own sausages too! The sausages hanging in clusters add to the interior and stirred up my appetite even more!!
Menu and prices: what the 44,000-won galbi set includes

<First order> Real pork galbi 1kg, thick raw galbi 600g, skewer-cut raw galbi 400g, pork intestine 600g, skewer-cut seasoned galbi 400g -> ₩44,000
Plus a variety of other sides 🥩

You can choose whether the galbi comes pre-grilled or not. FYI, pre-grilling takes about 15 minutes.
Basic side dishes, the self-serve bar and unlimited pork skin

Spring cabbage salad, fresh seaweed, onion sauce, dipping sauce, cabbage kimchi, 2 bottles of water.
The appetite-boosting spring cabbage salad and the onion sauce that goes perfectly with the meat both came out — the spring cabbage salad was totally my favorite!

There's a self-serve bar so you can easily grab extra side dishes, and Baeksanu Sutbul's generously portioned pork skin also comes with unlimited refills.
We ended up refilling the pork skin about 4 times 🤣 We dipped the chewy, perfectly grilled skin into the spicy sauce and bean powder — yum yum 👄
Utensils, wet wipes, and paper cups are stocked underneath the table by your side, and the steamed egg came out as a basic side dish.

Galbi served on the grill grate, with chili paste as the kick
Just as we were starting to wonder when this test of patience would end and the meat would finally arrive, there it was 🍖 By the way, it comes out on the grate itself.

It's plenty delicious dipped in the onion sauce, but personally, the chopped chili was the real kick! Eating it together felt just spicy enough and somehow made your palate feel clean.

Once you've had your fill of meat, finish it off with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)!! It was pleasantly spicy with ground meat mixed in, giving it a nice bite — so good mixed into rice 👍
Final verdict: bring coins if you visit with kids

There's a claw machine, so if you're visiting with kids who love those, here's a heads-up to bring loose change in advance 🤣
Baeksanu Sutbul 🍖 — perfect not just for the main event, the meat, but even for dessert. The menu had some unfamiliar dishes like dog... I mean freshwater crab soup and ttagwi-jjim, so I'd like to try something new on my next visit.
