What we ordered at Like Like Juyeop, and how it tasted

Even after a long absence, this place is clearly still popular — there were a few orders ahead of mine, so I waited leisurely with a book... that's a lie. After a 12-hour fast for my checkup, my stomach had zero patience left.

This was today's lunch, here to fill that unforgiving stomach.

Much as I wanted to devour everything at once, I started with the potato soup for my checkup-sensitized stomach.

This place's homemade potato cream soup is top tier. The texture and quality are on a whole different level from the packaged stuff big brands sell. Finely blended but still fluffy, nutty yet smooth — this soup ranks among the very best I've had.

You can already tell what's inside from the name, but this one's got BEST proudly stamped in front of it — one of the signature menu items.

I'll eat pretty much anything, but the reason I'm not a burger person is usually the flimsy bread — made as a panini though, this one's crispy outside and chewy inside.

Inside that crispy bread, savory beef with no off flavor, plus plenty of mozzarella and cheddar — clean, deeply savory, and satisfyingly hearty.

I cleared my plate completely and closed out the day with some healing time for myself, after a morning spent rushing around.
