Suwon sushi restaurant with baby seating: Teukbyeolhan Chobap

Eating out has gotten so expensive lately that even just a few plates of sushi can make the bill jump up fast, right? But I found a conveyor-belt sushi place in Yeongtong where every plate is ₩1,890, so I went to check it out. Honestly, because the price was so low, I didn’t have huge expectations for the quality at first.

But after trying it, the sushi was neat and fresh, and I was much more satisfied than I expected! Let me share my visit to Teukbyeolhan Chobap in Yeongtong with my 10-month-old baby.

Near Yeongtong Station, with parking

Teukbyeolhan Chobap is close to Yeongtong Station, so it is easy to reach by public transit. We drove because we had our 10-month-old with us, and the building offers 1 hour of free parking, which made it convenient with a baby too.

At conveyor-belt sushi places, we tend to pick what we want right away rather than sit for a long time, so we easily finished within the hour. Considering both access and parking, it felt like a good place to return to when looking for somewhere to eat near Yeongtong Station.

An interior that was comfortable with a baby

When you enter, there is bar seating along the conveyor-belt sushi rail. There were also about three four-person tables for groups.

Since we were visiting with a baby, whether they had a high chair was important to us, and thankfully, high chairs were available.

When we actually visited, the customers were really varied, from families with elementary-school children to couples out on dates.

We went on a weekday, but customers kept coming in throughout our meal, and when we left, people were even waiting outside.

If it was that busy even on a weekday, it seemed to already be quite a popular neighborhood sushi spot in Yeongtong.

Conveyor-belt sushi at ₩1,890 per plate

The biggest advantage here is definitely the price! A range of sushi comes around on the conveyor belt, and every plate costs ₩1,890.

At many sushi restaurants in Suwon these days, prices vary by plate color, so you end up watching the price even while you eat.

Here, every plate costs the same, so it was nice to pick whatever sushi we wanted without hesitation. And if the item you want is not on the belt, you do not have to simply wait.

We could not spot the sushi we wanted either, so we ordered it directly from the chef. It was made right away, so we could enjoy it even fresher.

It felt like getting both the convenience of conveyor-belt sushi and the advantage of a sushi restaurant that makes your order on the spot!

Sushi quality that stood out more than the low price

To be honest, before visiting, I thought the ₩1,890 price for every plate would be the biggest draw. But once I ate there, the sushi quality was better than I had expected, and that was what I remembered most.

It did not feel like the price was low but the ingredients were disappointing; overall, everything was neat and fresh. The affordable price also made it nice to try all kinds of things. Before, at conveyor-belt sushi restaurants, I would start worrying about the cost after a few plates and hesitate over something I wanted to eat.

Here, the plates are in the ₩1,000 range, so it would clearly feel less burdensome for a family to come and try lots of different items. Most of all, when you eat out with a 10-month-old, there are so many things to consider, from the high chair to parking and seating, right?

Teukbyeolhan Chobap has high chairs and 1 hour of free parking in the building, so we were able to eat relatively comfortably with our baby. Seeing customers continue to come in on a weekday, and a wait form by the time we left, I could understand why it was so busy.

I went because it was affordable, then ended up satisfied because the taste and quality were better than expected! I was happy to find a neighborhood spot in Yeongtong that I can visit this easily.

I think it will become a regular place we stop by often whenever we crave sushi. If you are looking for sushi in Yeongtong, especially a good Suwon sushi spot you can visit with a baby, it might be worth a visit.
