I was curious because I heard this was where you could find the peanut bread that became famous at Seomun Market in Daegu right here in Seomyeon, Busan. After going myself, I could see why it has spread by word of mouth.

Getting there from Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station

Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch (대신땅콩빵 부산서면점) was easy to reach from Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station on Busan Metro Lines 1 and 2.

Directions from Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station to the shop

After coming out of Exit 8, walk straight for about 200 m toward Busan Samsung Internal Medicine Clinic.

It is roughly a 3–5 minute walk, so it was an easy stop before or after meeting someone when I was looking for peanut bread among Seomyeon's food options.

The yellow-and-orange sign stood out even from a distance, so it was not difficult to find.

It was also in a great spot to drop by when I wanted a simple dessert after a meal near Seomyeon Station.

A compact shop where you can see the whole peanuts

A standing sign with a cute peanut-bread character at the entrance immediately caught my eye.

Inside, the display case was piled high with golden-brown peanut bread. Looking closely, I was struck by the whole peanuts dotted throughout each piece.

You could tell at a glance that this was bread with real peanuts in it, not simply peanut-flavored bread.

The staff took orders and packed them on the spot, so it was easy to pop in while walking around Seomyeon.

The shop itself is on the compact side, but its steady stream of customers made its popularity clear.

More menu items to browse besides peanut bread

Alongside peanut bread, Daeshin Peanut Bread's Seomyeon branch offered egg bread, roasted peanuts, peanut butter, and peanut lattes.

What especially stood out was its claim to make peanut bread with its own dough, the only one of its kind in Korea. Rather than receiving ready-made dough to bake, the shop makes the dough itself, and that care for flavor and texture came through.

The peanut butter also came in two varieties, creamy and crunchy, so it was nice to be able to choose by preference. A generous pile of roasted peanuts sat on one side of the shop, and their naturally nutty aroma was noticeable too. If you are looking for a dessert at a good Seomyeon food spot, I recommend browsing the other items as well rather than only going for the peanut bread.

Trying the 80-piece box of peanut bread

That day, I bought an 80-piece box of peanut bread.

I could watch the staff carefully count each piece as they packed it. The box was sturdy and neatly packed, which gave me confidence.

Packing peanut bread while counting the pieces

When I opened the box, it was full of beautifully golden peanut bread. Each piece had a crisp outside and a soft center. Every bite released the rich nuttiness of whole peanuts, and because it was not overly sweet, I kept reaching for another one.

They were bite-sized, so before I knew it, picking up one or two at a time had turned into finishing several. Dangerously moreish!

The 80-piece box was a generous amount, and I thought it would be great for sharing with family or giving to people around me. The box also listed storage and reheating instructions, making it easy to refer to after bringing it home.
