Buffalo wings and today's slice at Seongsu pizzeria Pizza Slice Seoul

In short

Pizza Slice Seoul is a slice pizza shop on the basement floor of a building on Achasan-ro in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, from a brand that started in Tokyo. The order was today's pizza and a pepperoni slice with garlic knots and four buffalo wings, and the thin dough had crisp edges under generous toppings, so a single slice was filling. With its white-and-wood room and red accents, Pizza Slice Seoul works just as well for a solo lunch as for a group sharing slices.

Where is Pizza Slice Seoul, and how do you find the entrance?

Pizza Slice Seoul is on the basement floor at 159 Achasan-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The big PIZZA SLICE sign on the front of the building, with its bold red color, caught my eye from far away. The shop sits on B1, so you follow the entrance sign down the stairs. A clean white space with a red accent gave the entrance a hip vibe right away.

Even before heading down the stairs, the red PIZZA SLICE SEOUL sign on the wall greets you, and the vivid color against the simple space made for pretty photos.

Going down the stairs, there's a small waiting area on one side where you can sit for a bit. Round stools lined up along the white wall flowed neatly and matched the shop's mood.

Inside the basement space: interior and seating

Walking inside, the space opened up bigger and more relaxed than I expected.

Spacious basement floor interior

Overall the decor was centered on white and wood tones, with red accents scattered throughout giving Pizza Slice its own character.

Through the large window, green trees were visible, so eating there didn't feel cramped at all. Even in the middle of Seongsu-dong, sitting by the window gave a calm, relaxed feeling, which I liked.

The tables were fairly spaced out too, with everything from two-seat tables to large tables good for groups.

Well-spaced two-seat tables and large tables

It looked like a good spot to grab a slice alone, and also good for friends to enjoy pizza and beer together.

Seating good for solo diners and view of the shop

Near the ceiling, pizza boxes stamped with PIZZA SLICE were stacked neatly, a fun little touch. The signs, lighting, and small interior details all around seemed to tie the brand's mood together consistently.

We ordered today's pizza, pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and 4 pieces of buffalo wings. Heading further inside, an open kitchen and pizza display case come right into view. All kinds of pizza were laid out in the glass case, so I spent a while deciding what to get even before ordering.

Glass display case of pizza slices and open kitchen

True to being a slice pizza brand that started in Tokyo, you can pick pizzas by the slice according to your taste. It's great for trying several kinds without having to order a whole pie, which especially works well when visiting with a group. Behind the display case, the open kitchen showed the oven and cooking area in full view. Watching the food get prepared made the atmosphere feel more lively, and the tidy, well-organized kitchen was impressive too.

Handwashing area set up inside the shop

There was even a handwashing area set up inside the shop, which felt like a thoughtful detail. Even though it's a pizza place, there was quite a lot of fun in just looking around the space.

The bamboo visible outside the window and the red logo were pretty, and even the ketchup and sauce on the table matched the shop's mood.

How today's pizza, pepperoni, garlic knots and buffalo wings taste

Finally the food we ordered all came out at once. 🍕 The pizza had a thin crust with edges that were crisp yet chewy, and the toppings were piled on generously, so even one slice was surprisingly filling — and it was nice to enjoy different flavors rather than eating just one whole pie.

The garlic knots had a subtle garlic aroma, just as the name suggests, and the bread itself was chewy, making a good side. Eating them between bites of pizza gave a different flavor each time, so I kept reaching for them. The hot wings were spicy with a bit of tang — not an overwhelming heat, more of a level that went well alongside the pizza.

After eating, I snapped a quick photo of my husband too. The clean white-toned space made everything look pretty in photos, wherever you shot.

Final view of Pizza Slice Seoul

Right up to the end, it was fun looking around every corner of Pizza Slice. Good pizza plus a cute space — a place I'd like to stop by again for another kind of pizza.
