Jeju café with Oreo cake and take-home desserts: Gluttony Coffee

There are so many great restaurants around Ara-dong that I visit often, but this is a café I completely fell for—even as a Jeju local! Since I get around on foot, it took me about 20 minutes from home. From the airport, I heard it takes 30–40 minutes by bus or 17 minutes by car!

First impressions of Gluttony Coffee in Ara-dong

Doesn't the exterior already give off such a hip, distinctive vibe? It was impressively simple and neat. Very in step with current trends, I'd say?

There is even a little spot outside where you can sit and rest while waiting! It is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., which I loved because you can visit at your leisure anytime.

A calm interior that was great for working alone

Open the door and you will find a space where warm wood tones and modern touches blend beautifully. The interior feels stylish without going overboard, with soft music playing too. The tables are spaced comfortably apart, making it easy to chat or simply relax.

That makes it a nice option for a date or a blind date, and I saw people working or studying on laptops by themselves too. The whole café felt so calm that I was able to focus on my own work really well.

This is the passage toward the restroom—and what an unexpected interior detail! Don't forget to take a photo at the photo spot with the huge mirror! The restroom was also exceptionally neat and clean, which I appreciated.

Ordering decaf filter coffee and Oreo cake

Once I had settled in, I headed straight to the counter to check the menu. From Gluttony Coffee's signature rich cream latte lineup to deeply flavored espresso and clean, easy-drinking filter coffee, it was a well-rounded menu that showed how serious they are about coffee. Since I visited in the afternoon, I ordered decaf filter coffee.

Then I spotted the dessert lineup displayed right beside it, and honestly my eyes nearly popped out...! I somehow did not save the photosㅠㅠ But besides the photos, they have cookie and financier samples set out for you to see, and they package everything beautifully too!

There were freshly baked-looking financiers, hefty cookies, and eye-catching cakes—so many delicious desserts that I had the happiest dilemma over what to choose. Sadly, the fig cake was already sold out, so I ordered the Oreo cake instead!

Before the passage to the restroom, take a look around the stylishly decorated area and help yourself to water and tissues. They even had blankets ready below—such thoughtful attention to detail...!

Since the owner prepares the filter coffee personally, I think it took about 10 minutes. It was smooth and delicately fragrant, making it easy to enjoy lightly.

Oreo cake that paired perfectly with coffee

Here are the Oreo cake, decaf Colombian coffee, and the financiers and cookies I packed up. The desserts looked so good—and actually tasted so good—that I packed some to share with my younger sibling at home, haha. It was such a great choice.

The Oreo cake has a light chocolate coating on top, then gets piled high with Oreo pieces. The combination of chocolate sponge, chocolate cream, and Oreos inside was unreal, hahaha. I expected it to be super sweet, but it was pleasantly sweet at just the right level with coffee, so I finished it in no time.

How the packed cookies and financiers tasted

Even this is just the standard(?) packaging, but isn't it so pretty? If you are giving them to someone extra special, I recommend adding ₩2,000 for a lovely gift-box package!

• Hazelnut dark chocolate: Fudgy chocolate with a refined hazelnut flavor! Recommended for anyone who loves deep chocolate.
• White macadamia: The macadamias are the star! The gently nutty flavor is excellent.
• White matcha macadamia: Highly recommended for matcha lovers!

• Chocolate financier: Crunchy nuts on top with a rich chocolate flavor! Chewy yet soft and fluffy.
• Sweet potato financier: Filled with sweet sweet-potato filling—my personal number one!

Recommended as a dessert stop after a meal

Near Gluttony Coffee, there are lots of true local-favorite restaurants that Jeju residents regularly visit, all clustered together. I strongly recommend stopping by for dessert after a delicious meal! It is also conveniently close to Jeju Airport, so it fits easily into your route on either the first or last day of a Jeju trip.
