Cheonan barbecue restaurant with outdoor seats: Euljiro Yeontan Gui

In short

Euljiro Yeontan Gui Cheonan Buldang Branch is a charcoal-grill pork restaurant in the Buldang-dong dining district of Cheonan, Chungnam. Its draw is the outdoor "yajang" seating, where pork belly cooks over real charcoal briquettes; the writer ordered dwaeji hangeun (a 600g pork platter with six cuts) and Samsuni bibimbap, and tried the frozen radish salad and pork skin dusted with injeolmi powder. With a wide lot offering 2 hours of free parking, Euljiro Yeontan Gui is an easy pick for outdoor grilled meat on a cool evening in a neighborhood where parking is usually tight.

If you're looking for a place with that outdoor "yajang" vibe in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, this is the spot I strongly recommend! Parking is usually a nightmare in this dining district, but here it's easy, and the location right in the middle of the food alley plus the outdoor grilling atmosphere made the whole meal so enjoyable. Here's my review of Euljiro Yeontan Gui Cheonan Buldang Branch.

I was looking for a good samgyeopsal (pork belly) spot in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, and ended up here — perfect timing since I'd just finished a 2-hour workout at the famous gym nearby and needed to refuel on protein! Let me share the parking situation, the food info, and how the pork belly tasted. If you're hunting for a Buldang-dong restaurant, definitely read this one.

🅿️First, here's the exterior and parking info. Euljiro Yeontan Gui Cheonan Buldang Branch sits tucked at the edge of the Buldang-dong dining district — look for this parking lot and pull in, and you get 2 hours free! I visited at 9pm and there was plenty of space, even easy enough for beginner drivers. Parking is genuinely hard to come by in this food alley, so having it be this easy was such a relief 📌

Turns out Euljiro Yeontan Gui Cheonan Buldang Branch has seafood on the menu too, not just meat. There's an aquarium outside so you can eat seafood fresh right off the tank! And you know how good meat grilled over charcoal tastes, right? We grabbed a spot outside.

Indoor seating is round tables for four. The tables weren't cramped at all, plenty of room. The basic side dishes were chive salad, lettuce and perilla leaves, bean sprouts tossed in sesame oil, kimchi, lettuce salad, and salted hairtail intestines. Once the sesame-oil bean sprouts hit the grill, throw them on with the meat — so good!

We ordered the dwaeji hangeun (one-geun pork platter) and the Samsuni bibimbap (pork belly, pork neck, dwitgogi, pork jowl, skirt meat, pork skin). We got it because it comes with such a variety of cuts.

How much meat is in the dwaeji hangeun, and what is the frozen radish salad?

Long-sliced pork skin and pork jowl meat
Spicy frozen radish salad served on ice

The dwaeji hangeun came out, and it's plenty for two people. It's arranged so beautifully that it catches your eye right away, and then came the frozen radish salad — my first reaction was "what is this?" but the owner kindly explained that it's meant to be eaten while still frozen, that way it's more delicious, cool and crunchy, and pairs perfectly with the spicy radish. It really got my appetite going.

How did the charcoal-grilled pork belly taste?

The sizzling sound of meat over charcoal, plus cool breezy weather and that great outdoor yajang atmosphere... ahh, I got a little drunk on the vibe and then surprised all over again by the taste. The most important thing with pork is no gamey smell, right? Of course there was none, it wasn't tough, and the fat and lean meat balanced perfectly for a rich, savory flavor — dip it in salt and it just melts in your mouth, ugh! Maybe it's because I'd worked out hard, but honestly it was the atmosphere and the pork belly together that made it so good.

Pork skin with injeolmi powder: the surprise of the meal

Cook the sesame-oil bean sprouts with kimchi and the sesame's nuttiness mixed with the seasoned bean sprouts gives this salty kick that naturally makes you order more meat ✨ Personally I'm not usually a fan of pork skin, but sliced long like this it was seriously delicious!?

And wait, the pork skin was tastier than some brand that was trendy for a while, was it not? I kept wondering why it was so good, and I think it's not just plain injeolmi (sweet rice cake) powder — they seem to have added something extra to it. Maybe that's why it had this savory, sweet flavor, and eating the pork skin sizzling hot off the grill, wow... this is what pork skin is supposed to taste like. I check out Buldang-dong restaurants a lot, and Euljiro Yeontan Gui has several genuinely impressive points.

The verdict on Euljiro Yeontan Gui in Buldang-dong

⭐️ One-line verdict ⭐️

Now that the weather's turning cooler and pleasant, the charcoal fire really shows off its strong heat — if you're looking for a Buldang-dong restaurant, I strongly recommend Euljiro Yeontan Gui Cheonan Buldang Branch for that yajang feel ☀️ On a cool day, the warm charcoal heat cooks everything fast so you're not waiting long, and best of all — parking is 2 hours free, which is a huge perk given how hard roadside parking is in this Buldang-dong food alley.

I didn't try the seafood, but with the aquarium out front you can grill fresh shellfish and seafood right there, and the meat is so good that this would be a great spot for a family meal out too! If you're looking for a restaurant in Buldang-dong, Cheonan, definitely check out Euljiro Yeontan Gui Cheonan Buldang Branch. I'm planning on going back again soon!
