I went to Moshi Moshi Sushi, a well-known spot in Lotte Department Store Gwangbok, with my sushi-loving husband. It's also a great restaurant to bring a baby along to.

The udon set and salmon-halibut sushi at lunch

Our order was laid out at Moshi Moshi, a well-known sushi spot in Nampo-dong. Since it was a busy Friday lunch, it took a little while for the food to come out.

What we ordered at this well-known restaurant at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok was the udon set and the salmon-halibut sushi.

Both dishes came with tempura, vegetable salad, broth and soft tofu salad, so it felt generous and made us feel well taken care of, which was a nice feeling.

One of the basic side dishes, the soft tofu, is decorated with young leafy greens, and the creamy sauce over the tofu was sweet and went well with it.

The vegetable salad also came alongside, which helped cut through the richness of the sushi.

The mini udon that comes with the set had springy, chewy noodles with fried tofu pouch and sliced shiitake mushrooms in it.

Three kinds of tempura

The sweet potato tempura, one of the three tempura, was fried crisp in clean oil, and I couldn't help but say it was delicious.

The other two were pumpkin tempura and shrimp tempura — crispy and delicious, but since they were small and thin, I wished they were a bit bigger and thicker.

Egg sushi and futomaki (thick sushi roll)

The egg sushi is handmade, so it had a soft, fluffy texture that was a real standout.

The futomaki (thick rolled sushi), a special item you can get at this well-known Nampo-dong restaurant, was packed with fish and egg and tasted excellent.

Halibut and salmon nigiri, 10 pieces

Both the halibut and the salmon were delicious too. Maybe because they were properly aged, the umami flavor was really good.

The sushi at this well-known Nampo-dong restaurant was tasty even on its own, but dipped in wasabi soy sauce, it just melted in your mouth.

Adding five more pieces of halibut sushi

We added 5 pieces of halibut sushi à la carte, and I liked how long and thick the halibut was. It was so delicious but disappeared from my mouth so fast — I wanted more.
