That day we ordered jijon jjamppong for ₩13,000, jijon jjajang for ₩9,500, jjamppong fried mandu for ₩9,000, and a small sweet and sour pork for ₩19,000.

Overall, this turned out to be a pretty good pick when looking for a Chinese restaurant near Seooreung. The place was spacious with easy parking, which made it accessible, and I liked that they had baby chairs and tableware ready.

Above all, I liked that the food was tasty. The jjamppong was loaded with seafood so it felt hearty, and adding sprouts gave it a whole different feel that I loved. The jjajangmyeon mixed together smoothly and was delicious, and I'd definitely recommend sprinkling chili flakes on it too!

How do self-bar mung bean sprouts taste in jjamppong?

Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch also has a well-stocked self-bar. From basic side dishes like jasai (pickled mustard greens), danmuji (pickled radish), and kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) to various other items, you could freely help yourself. We grabbed some mung bean sprouts here and added them to the jjamppong.

But honestly, I really recommend this... Adding the sprouts gave it a crunchy texture that paired with the jjamppong way better than I expected. If you like sprouts, definitely try adding some. I think I'll keep eating it this way next time too, haha.

Jijon jjamppong, 13,000 won: the seafood keeps coming

First up, the jjamppong! I was satisfied because Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch's jjamppong was even tastier than I expected. The broth was solid, but above all, there was really a lot of seafood packed in.

It wasn't just noodles you slurp down — seafood kept showing up throughout, which I loved. Jjamppong lovers know this matters, haha. I'm a fan of jjamppong with plenty of toppings, so this hit the spot.

We also ordered the jijon jjajang for ₩9,500, and this was pretty tasty too. Mixing the noodles, the sauce blended in smoothly. One bite in, the sauce wasn't too heavy and went down smoothly, which made it delicious.

And then I sprinkled a bit of chili flakes on top, which was seriously so good... Anyone else love adding chili flakes to jjajangmyeon? I completely recommend this combo.

It's fine plain, but with the chili flakes it turns slightly spicy, which suited my taste way more.

Small glutinous-rice tangsuyuk and jjamppong fried mandu

We came for Chinese food, so sweet and sour pork was a must. We ordered the small sweet and sour pork for ₩19,000, and it was just right alongside the jjamppong and jjajangmyeon.

Sharing several dishes between the two of us let us enjoy a much wider variety of flavors than sticking to just one dish. Especially the combo of a sip of jjamppong broth followed by a bite of sweet and sour pork — that's basically the golden rule, haha.

We also ordered the jjamppong fried mandu. It's crispy fried mandu that worked well as a side with the Chinese dishes. Between the jjamppong, jjajangmyeon, sweet and sour pork, and mandu, we really ate well that day...

I wanted to make food like this at home, but buying it is still the best, haha.

How many free drinks come after the meal at Jjamppong Jijeon?

There was one more thing I really liked about Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch. The variety of free drinks you can have after the meal is huge. There's omija tea, plum iced tea, and even blue lemonade. There's a separate coffee machine too, so you can grab a coffee after your meal.

There's even hot chocolate, which kids would love if you bring them along. I've seen places that offer plum tea after Chinese food, but the drink options here are quite varied, which surprised me. Free, and yet this many choices — is that even allowed, haha. Since you can enjoy dessert-style drinks after your meal, it really seemed good for a family dinner.

Worth it when you want Chinese food near Seooreung

With a wide variety of side dishes at the self-bar and free drinks after the meal, the overall feel was of a place that's comfortable to dine at. If you're looking for somewhere to eat with family near Seooreung, or hunting for a good restaurant in the area, Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is worth a visit.

If you're driving, the large free parking lot makes it even more convenient. Next time I go, I'm definitely adding sprouts to my jjamppong again, haha. I want to have the chili flakes on jjajangmyeon again too. This felt like a place I'll think of again whenever I'm craving Chinese food near Seooreung :)
