Dining out prices these days are no joke — eating your fill of samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) for two easily tops ₩50,000–60,000. On a day when I wanted to pile a grill high with good-quality meat without worrying about the bill, I headed to 'Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch,' a place that's been buzzing lately on the Jamsilsaenae restaurant strip!

Six types of shaved pork with no gamy smell (including beef brisket and Korean native pork), about 30 buffet-style self-serve dishes, plus unlimited ramen and fried rice — all for ₩18,900 of pure happiness. Let's get into my visit to Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch!

Today I ordered Muhan Paldo Daepae's signature dish — the 'Premium All-You-Can-Eat Shaved Pork (₩18,900 per person)'!

Six types of meat, all-you-can-eat — shaved pork belly, shaved pork shoulder, flower pork belly, frozen pork belly, Korean native shaved pork, and shaved beef brisket.

About 30 buffet-style self-serve dishes — fresh lettuce and perilla leaves for wraps delivered every morning, well-fermented old kimchi, spicy crunchy seasoned bean sprouts, garlic, enoki mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms and more — a generous spread!

Unlimited noodles and rice — bubbling ramen plus self-serve fried rice. You grab whichever cut you want from the meat fridge and plate it yourself; only the top-grade meat was selected and thinly sliced, and it looked fresh with a bright red color and no gamy smell at all.

The best thing about shaved pork has got to be how fast it cooks the moment it hits the grill, right?

I piled the meat onto the upper part of the hot grill and laid seasoned bean sprouts, bracken and kimchi underneath.

Wrapping the thin shaved pork belly — crispy outside, juicy inside — with sweet-and-tangy pickled radish and perilla leaf, I just kept eating without stopping.

Once you're full from the meat, it's time for a grand carb finale! Spicy unlimited ramen — at the self-serve ramen station, you can make your own noodles Han River-ramen style.

I made myself a seasoned shaved pork bibimbap (mixed rice bowl). I snipped the meat into small pieces with scissors, then poured in soy sauce, sesame oil and dried seaweed flakes to make a soy-sauce-based galbi-flavored bibimbap. Between ramen, bibimbap and fried rice, this Jamsilsaenae restaurant lets you pick your own carb finale.

And for dessert, you can also get a cool, sweet slushie.

Final verdict: is a full course for 18,900 won per person worth it?

In this era of high prices, I'd recommend this place if you want to throw a hearty meat feast for a family meal, friend gathering, or group dinner in Jamsil without worrying about the bill.
