Jamsilsaenae Korean BBQ with DIY burgers and slushies: Muhan Paldo
In short
Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant near Jamsilsaenae Station in Songpa, Seoul, where 18,900 won per person covers shaved pork belly and a self-serve bar of more than 30 items. Among the six meats on offer, the handon (Korean-raised pork) shaved belly tasted best, and the self-serve bar let us build a mini burger, cook Hangang-style ramen and finish with a slushie. Muhan Paldo Daepae broke our usual doubts about buffets, though ten groups were waiting as we left, so count on a queue.

I honestly have a bit of a bias against all-you-can-eat places, but this one properly broke it. Even if the meat wasn't to your taste, you'd still get your money's worth just from the variety of food at the self-serve bar. And the meat quality was good too ㅇ_ㅇ If you want to eat well and cheaply until you're stuffed, I highly recommend Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch!

What 18,900 won per person covers, alcohol included

At Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch, you can get all-you-can-eat premium shaved pork belly plus a self-serve bar with over 30 fresh items for ₩18,900 per person. On top of that, alcohol is also all-you-can-eat for ₩5,900 per person ㅇ_ㅇ Even without going the all-you-can-eat route, it's super cheap.
Inside Muhan Paldo Daepae: atmosphere and seating

Maybe because it's a newly opened place, my first impression was that it was spotless and clean. The space is split left and right around a long self-serve bar.

Aside from the reserved seats, the place was basically full. A restaurant where you can eat until you're stuffed at a reasonable price in this era of high prices is bound to be popular these days.
Six meats at the self-serve bar, and why handon shaved pork won

Tables can be used for 2 hours, and after being told it's a self-serve system, I set off to properly explore the self-serve bar.

There are a whopping 6 types of meat, so it's fun picking whichever you like. I worried the meat quality would suffer because it's all-you-can-eat, but overall it was satisfying. You can just pick whatever suits your taste — personally, the hanton (Korean native pork) daepae was the tastiest to me!

From a fresh vegetable corner packed with various wrap veggies, to grilled vegetables that go well with the meat, to a side dish corner for pairing — it's all thoughtfully prepared.

Eight signature sauces from Korea's eight provinces
There are also 8 signature sauces representing Korea's 8 provinces. With so many sauce options, you can enjoy the same meat with a totally different flavor each time. It's fun picking sauces that suit your taste and comparing them.

After a lap around the self-serve bar, I had a full spread!! I loaded up with the meat I wanted, fresh wrap veggies, grilled vegetables, various side dishes, and the 8 regional sauces, all to my taste.

The meat looked fresh just from the visuals!! Time to grill it up quickly.

Since it's all-you-can-eat, I generously piled meat, kimchi, bracken fern, seasoned bean sprouts, garlic, and onion all onto the grill. Watching it sizzle away, the visuals alone made my mouth water...

Building your own mini burger and Hangang-style ramen
It was fun picking whatever ingredients I wanted and putting them into bread to make my own burger. Eating meat and also making burgers on the side was surprisingly a nice treat haha

You can't skip Hangang ramen after eating meat! You can pick whichever instant noodles you like at the self-serve bar and cook them yourself. The ramen is all-you-can-eat too, of course. After filling up on meat, finishing with spicy, refreshing ramen to cut through the grease made for a proper meal.

Slushies for dessert, and how long the wait gets
There's also a cool slushie ready for dessert. Having a slushie after so long brought back childhood memories, and it was refreshing and sweet enough to chase away the heat.

By the time I was leaving after my meal, there were 10 teams waiting.. Please keep the wait time in mind....^^
