Looking for a place to take the family out to eat after a while, I visited Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch, a pork belly spot in Namcheon-dong. Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch is a BBQ restaurant located near Namcheon Station. It's a decent-sized place with plenty of tables, so a lot of families come here. It's also popular for offering delicious aged meat at good prices. Since we came on a weekend evening, we arrived before peak time at 6pm. Even though it wasn't quite peak time yet, many customers were already enjoying their meat. We took our seats and ordered right away. Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch isn't just about good meat — the self-serve bar is well stocked too. So after ordering meat from the kiosk, we grabbed a variety of side vegetables and sauces to go with it. With bean sprouts, bracken, and different kinds of kimchi, the meat tasted even better. Starting with pork belly and moving on to pork jowl and more pork belly, we ate well and left satisfied with Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch.

After taking our seats at Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch, we placed our order. Each table has its own kiosk, so ordering was easy. Personally, I love ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly with the skin on), so for our first order we got 5 servings along with some drinks.
As you can see on the kiosk, Geobugi Dongne's aged meat is reasonably priced. Good meat at a fair price is exactly why Geobugi Dongne is so popular. With our first order of 5 servings of aged five-layer pork belly, we added cold draft beer and soju to enjoy the pork.

Our first order, the 5 servings of aged five-layer pork belly, arrived. Geobugi Dongne's aged five-layer pork belly has the skin on and just the right amount of fat, so I expected it to be nice and chewy. Being a thick cut of aged pork, we grilled the outside until golden brown, then cut it into bite-sized pieces to keep grilling.
True to its name, it had the skin on with just enough fat, making it chewy and delicious. The savory flavor was followed by a chewy texture — the kind of pork belly that calls for a drink. Lightly frying the kimchi and bean sprouts in the pork fat that rendered out while grilling added an extra touch that made the meat even tastier.
3 servings of aged pork jowl, then 3 more of aged pork belly to finish
After starting with the aged five-layer pork belly, we ordered 3 more servings of aged pork jowl at Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch. The slightly firm yet tender texture was exactly to our taste.
Since I usually enjoy pork jowl, I ate it happily. Starting with pork belly, moving to pork jowl, we finished by ordering aged pork belly once more.
To finish, we grilled 3 servings of aged pork belly along with bean sprouts and bracken. With so many customers coming through, everything at Geobugi Dongne Namcheon Branch was great, from the self-serve bar to the meat.
