Dalseo Korean BBQ restaurant with kids' zone: Gankeun Galbi

To be honest, I didn't have the best view of meat buffets for a long time~

Is there even going to be anything worth eating? Won't the meat quality be pretty poor?

I think most people feel the same way I did~ But this is the place that completely changed my mind: Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch (간큰갈비 성서점).

Parking was easy at Gankeun Galbi in Igok-dong, Seongseo

As an all-you-can-eat pork rib specialist, I loved the parking situation right away. Head into the building basement and you'll find the Gankeun Galbi parking area! Park and come straight up, and ta-da—there's Gankeun Galbi, a popular Seongseo spot in Igok-dong where you have to be prepared to wait on weekends!

An interior that hardly looks like an unlimited-meat restaurant

But is this really the interior of an all-you-can-eat meat restaurant? Such a high-quality interior! It felt so fresh and polished~ So you can have unlimited ribs in a place that feels this upscale! Hahaha!

The restaurant itself is enormous, and all the food is neatly arranged so it's easy to pick up! It really made me think this place has what it takes to be known as a great restaurant in Daegu's Seongseo area!

Was I getting this excited over the interior alone?!! This is a place to eat! Since it's a restaurant, the food has to be good too, right?!!

A self-service bar that keeps the meal from being all meat

There are meats and vegetables to start with, plus a whole spread of salad-bar-style side dishes. Eating only meat could get a little boring, but these sides take care of that! The star, of course, is tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)! Hahaha!

You can even enjoy soft drinks and patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) from the salad bar, which was so nice! At a regular barbecue place, once you add drinks, rice, or naengmyeon (cold noodles), it is normal for the bill to sail past ₩100,000! Here, you absolutely don't need to worry about that~

So how was the meat quality for unlimited ribs?

Since this is an all-you-can-eat rib place, I think the quality of the meat is very important.

I picked up a plate like this and grilled the meat~ Honestly, the rib quality was on par with what you'd get at a regular meat restaurant!

With this high-quality atmosphere, meat quality, and all the different things to eat, it really felt like a place with a complete competitive edge~

An unlimited pork belly option, sides, and even tteok ramyeon

Gankeun Galbi, a popular restaurant in Daegu's Seongseo area, also offers unlimited pork belly. Pay just a little extra and you can have unlimited pork belly too~ We do not eat that much meat, and the ribs alone were plenty for us, so we didn't choose it. But I would recommend it to pork belly lovers!

There was fresh onion salad and green onion salad, and eating them with the meat makes the meat go down very easily!

No matter how full you are, you have to have at least one ramyeon, right? Haha! It is not just ramyeon—you can cook tteok ramyeon, ramyeon with rice cakes~ There are lots of toppings to add, so making your own bowl is fun too~

A kids' zone for children through elementary school

And since this is an unlimited-ribs place children love too, a play area for them is essential, right?!

There is such an amazing kids' zone that once the children go in, they don't come back out~ Haha! Naturally, middle school students and older are not allowed in. It is for children through elementary school~ Once they are in middle school, won't they stop going to places like this anyway?! Haha!

Feed the kids, send them in here, and then eat comfortably—how nice is that! Leaving children next to you to look at their phones is not exactly what you want, after all~ That is why a place with a kids' zone is such a welcome find~!

Gankeun Galbi is a Daegu Seongseo restaurant armed with great value without giving up on meat quality: unlimited pork belly and unlimited pork ribs! It makes you wonder whether they are really making any profit, but I hope a place like this stays in business for a long, long time!
