Yongsan café for pistachio chocolate baguette: Dance Dance Dance

In short

Dance Dance Dance Hannam is a café in Yongsan, Seoul, serving baguette sandwiches and coffee. I tried its pistachio chocolate baguette with tofu-based cream cheese and its rich oat milk latte. The lightly sweet baguette and deeply nutty latte were a satisfying pair.

Dance Dance Dance's cream cheese is tofu-based, so tofu was even listed on the origin label.

How was the pistachio chocolate baguette?

Pistachio chocolate baguette and cream cheese

A delicious baguette with moist cream cheese needs no further explanation, right? And since pistachio and chocolate are already a proven combination thanks to Dubai chocolate, I was excited to choose the pistachio chocolate baguette. Every time I bit into a chocolate chip embedded in the chocolate baguette, there was a gentle chocolate flavor and sweetness. I liked that the base itself was not overly sweet.

The thick layer of pistachio tofu cream cheese felt nuttier than regular cream cheese, perhaps because its base combines the tang of cream cheese with the nutty flavor of tofu. With pistachio's distinctive aroma added in, it even reminded me of cream cheese made with soy milk.

It was also topped with crunchy pistachio pieces, which tasted clean without feeling distracting. It was not very sweet, so even though it was quite large, I thought I could finish it in one sitting. It already had a soy-milk-like flavor, so I think it would pair well with an Americano too.

Just how rich was the oat milk latte?

They also gave me a coffee drip bag as a complimentary extra. Hehe.

The oat milk latte was richer than I expected, which I really liked. I usually do not prefer most oat milks because they can feel thin, but Dance Dance Dance's oat milk did not feel thin at all. If anything, it felt as rich as dairy milk. The coffee shot also seemed strong, giving it an overall full-bodied texture, so it was still delicious even after some of the ice had melted.

The nuttiness of the oat milk and the coffee's pleasant bitterness seemed to bring out each other's flavors even more. It was so rich that it also reminded me of a soy latte. I ordered the oat milk latte because there was no dairy latte, but I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nutty latte! The coffee itself seemed bitter and strong, so I think the Americano would be pleasantly nutty and delicious too.
