In short
Sinineurin Dakbal is a flame-grilled dakbal (chicken feet) bar in the food stall alley behind Lotte Department Store in Seomyeon, Busan, open from 17:00 until 2:00 the next day. The order was boneless dakbal at medium spice with furikake rice balls, clam soup and an old-style whole fried chicken, all washed down with soju, plus a complimentary steamed egg. The weather's gotten chilly lately, and isn't this exactly the season for a spicy, smoky dish with a shot of soju? 🤤 So today I dug up a truly insane dakbal (chicken feet) restaurant and I'm bringing it to you!
Where is Sinineurin Dakbal in Seomyeon, and what are the hours?
Sinineurin Dakbal is a Seomyeon bar located at 28-1 Bujeon-ro 66beon-gil, 1F, Busanjin-gu, Busan, open from 17:00 to 2:00 the next day. Walk into the alley between Hamgyeong Myeonok and Ten Percent Coffee, off the food stall street behind Seomyeon Lotte Department Store, and you'll see it right away!

This is Sinineurin Dakbal, the Seomyeon bar in Busan I made the trip from Changwon for!

What the inside of Sinineurin Dakbal feels like
The interior of Sinineurin Dakbal is dim with atmospheric lighting, making it perfect for a Seomyeon date course too. The mood inside was really one of the best things about this place.

So it's really great for just soaking in the atmosphere.
The menu and how to pick your spice level
At Sinineurin Dakbal you can choose dakbal boneless or bone-in, and pick your spice level between mild, medium, and spicy, so you can adjust the heat to your taste.

We safely went with medium spice haha

The basic side dishes were kaeyonez cabbage salad and pickled radish!
Boneless dakbal at medium spice: smoky char up front
The boneless dakbal at medium spice from Sinineurin Dakbal was generously sized and plump — I was genuinely surprised. It looked like it had been grilled directly over open flame, because the smoky aroma hit the table the second it arrived 🔥

Apparently Sinineurin Dakbal uses 100% domestic Korean dakbal and chicken meat only! They also use Cesco pest control, and thoroughly clean and sanitize the place before and after business every day, so I could eat with real peace of mind.

With the moderately spicy, sweet sauce plus that smoky char, it's genuinely, seriously delicious.

It kept that signature chewy, springy texture of dakbal while the meat itself was plump and tender — pure happiness in every bite ㅜㅜ

And you already know the dakbal-with-kaeyonez-cabbage combo is unbeatable! Make sure to eat them together.
Piling boneless dakbal onto furikake rice balls
Eating dakbal without carbs would feel incomplete. Sinineurin Dakbal's rice balls aren't just plain rice balls — they're generously coated in furikake, so the savory flavor is next level. Rolled into cute little round bite-sized balls haha

Pop a big piece of boneless dakbal right on top and it's absolutely incredible!

The sauce was so good I wanted to fry rice in it.

The complimentary steamed egg
And then there's the complimentary steamed egg! It's so soft it practically melts the second it hits your mouth! Taking a spoonful between bites of spicy dakbal makes your stomach feel so comfortable.

Delicious food calls for soju, that's the unwritten rule haha
How was the clam soup at Sinineurin Dakbal?
Apparently the owner of Sinineurin Dakbal personally picks out live, fresh clams from the market every single day for the clam soup!

Maybe that's why the clams themselves weren't tough at all — they were plump and tender.

The natural, refreshing sweetness of seafood was deeply infused into the broth, making it genuinely spicy and refreshing.

Why you should order the old-style whole fried chicken
Everyone, please, you have to order the old-style fried chicken at Sinineurin Dakbal. I was caught off guard by how much bigger it was than I expected ㅋㅋㅋ I thought a dakbal restaurant's fried chicken would be small, but it was huge and hearty!
The thin, crispy old-style batter meant I could eat it all the way through without getting tired of it. The meat was also super tender and soft, so the pairing was insane... It's savory yet light, the kind of flavor everyone from kids to grandparents would love 👏

That crispy skin is unreal too!!!!!
Why Sinineurin Dakbal works as a Seomyeon date-night bar
Honestly, there wasn't a single dakbal spot in Changwon that really won me over, so it always bummed me out. Now I'm going to end up running to Sinineurin Dakbal every time I crave dakbal, hehe ••
If you're looking for a Seomyeon date course or a spot for drinks with friends, I recommend this Seomyeon restaurant, Sinineurin Dakbal 🌟
