Pork cutlet burger for two near Hyochang Park Station: Onjeong

Yongsan Donkatsu Onjeong Gyeongyang Sikdang, Yongsan branch is a Korean-style cutlet and soba restaurant near Hyochang Park Station, at 341 Baekbeom-ro, B-dong 1F 107, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. I suddenly craved old-school gyeongyang sikdang (Western-style Korean set-meal) cutlet and rushed over with a friend after work haha🤭 We ate our fill of cutlet and soba at great value, so let me tell you about it :) Here's my visit to Onjeong Gyeongyang Sikdang, a Yongsan pork cutlet spot~!💕

Where Onjeong's Yongsan branch is, and what the room feels like

Yongsan Donkatsu Onjeong Gyeongyang Sikdang, Yongsan branch sits on the first floor of a commercial building at 341 Baekbeom-ro. The cute character sign and the Onjeong Gyeongyang Sikdang signboard stood out, so I found the place easily even before going in!

Inside there are both table seats and bar-style seats, so it looked good for visiting with a friend or dining solo💕

Right when you walk in there's a kiosk :) Order, sit down, and staff bring the food to your table👍

There's also a Naver photo review event running. Leave a photo review of your food and you get a can of soda, so it's worth joining :)

Self bar with free rice, pickled radish and salad

Inside Onjeong, Yongsan branch there's also a self bar😆 Water, pickled radish, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), salad and rice all come as a basic setup to start!

If you need more, you can just go grab extra from the self bar😊

Onjeong Yongsan menu and prices

The plain gyeongyang sikdang cutlet is 13,000 won, while spicy, cheddar cheese and curry cutlets are each 13,500 won, and sets with udon or soba run 14,500–15,000 won. The noodle-only options, fried fish cake udon and green tangerine cold soba, are each 9,000 won.

What we ordered: two 15,000-won soba sets

We ordered one soba & (half) spicy cutlet set for 15,000 won and one soba & (half) cheddar cheese cutlet set for 15,000 won.

There were two of us, so we sat at a two-person table :) After ordering, staff brought our food while we sat and waited comfortably! 😊

The soba & spicy cutlet and soba & cheddar cutlet arrived together :)

True to a gyeongyang sikdang cutlet, a warm soup came alongside, and the green tangerine cold soba from the set showed up too😋

I tried the soup first! It had mushrooms in it and was so smooth and delicious😆

How many cutlet pieces come in a set, and what's on the side

Order the cutlet à la carte and you get two pieces; order it as a set and you get one! Either way, it comes with a lettuce salad topped with green tangerine, corn kernels, and a piece of bread😋

How spicy is Onjeong's spicy pork cutlet?

We tried the spicy cutlet first! It didn't look that spicy at a glance,, but a faint spicy smell hit at the start, and the more I ate the spicier it got than I expected😂 That said, it wasn't unbearably hot, and it was a delicious kind of spicy, so I cleaned my plate haha

What the cheddar cheese pork cutlet tastes like

The cheddar cutlet was a thin gyeongyang sikdang cutlet piled with plenty of cheddar cheese, and its rich, savory flavor went really well with the cutlet :)

Making a pork cutlet burger with the bread

We used the bread that came with the meal to make cutlet burgers, tucking in the cutlet and salad haha With the spicy cutlet inside, the bread and salad mellowed out the heat and it tasted great💕

The green tangerine cold soba had a generous portion and delicious broth too, and the noodles had a springy, chewy texture that really suited my taste😆 Paired with the cold broth, it also went really well with the cutlet :)

Is Onjeong near Hyochang Park Station worth a visit with a friend?

Overall, this was a place to eat well and affordably, from cutlet to soba :) With thin, crispy classic cutlet alongside spicy and cheddar cheese versions, there was enough variety to pick by taste, and the spicy cutlet especially stuck with me for how deliciously hot it was😋
