Why Uno for a work dinner near Seolleung Station

If you're looking for a Korean BBQ spot near Seolleung Station with great meat quality and an easy setup for a group, I'd recommend Uno! It's close to the station, and besides regular hall seating it also has a private room, so it works well for an office dinner near Seolleung, an important meeting, or a family gathering in Daechi-dong.

Above all, the marbling and condition of the thick-cut beef were really good, and staff grilled it for us over charcoal so we could just relax and talk while we ate. Running in the same spot since 2004, Uno delivered on both meat quality and service — let me introduce this Korean BBQ restaurant near Seolleung Station!

Uno is a Korean BBQ restaurant that's been in the same spot in Seolleung since 2004, about a 5-minute walk from Seolleung Station Exit 1. Beyond its various grilled beef menu items, it also offers a wide range of lunch dishes like bulgogi set, noodle hot pot, and seonji haejangguk (blood sausage soup), making it a good option from lunch through evening dinners.

What Uno's private room is like

The inside of Uno was clean and calm overall. Besides regular hall seating, there's also a private room separated from the main floor, so even with a larger group you can eat comfortably without worrying about people around you.

Eating in the room made conversation easy and the mood felt calm, so I think it'd suit an office dinner near Seolleung, an important meeting, or a family gathering in Daechi-dong.

What comes on the Uno galbi platter 800g (₩98,000)

Uno's grilled beef menu board

Uno's menu centers on hanwoo (Korean beef) and other beef cuts, with sirloin, galbisal (rib meat), yukhoe (raw beef), and more, plus platter options that let you try several cuts at once. We wanted to sample a variety of cuts, so we ordered the Uno galbi platter 800g.

Before the meat arrived, the side dishes and charcoal grill were set up. The banchan (side dishes) came out neat and well-suited to eating alongside the meat. What really stood out here is that staff grill the meat for you directly over charcoal — and the charcoal heat was seriously strong!

And then the Uno galbi platter finally arrived~! Wow... the visual alone was insane the moment it landed on the table. It came with Uno charcoal galbi, LA-style ribs, diced flower cut, and beef tongue all together, and at 800g total, the portion was seriously generous.

The cuts were thick with dense marbling, and the color and condition of the meat looked great overall, so my expectations shot up even before grilling!

Even within one plate, each cut had a different grain and thickness, so it seemed like it'd be genuinely fun to compare them one by one haha.

Diced flower cut (kkakttuk kkotsal)

They grilled the diced flower cut first. The thickness was impressive — enough to fill your mouth in one bite — and staff seared the outside golden-brown over the strong charcoal while keeping the inside juicy, cooked just right.

The diced flower cut was truly tender and melted in my mouth. I could taste a full, rich beefy flavor and savory juices.

LA-style beef ribs

Next up, they grilled the LA-style ribs. Just watching the charcoal aroma soak in made them look so appetizing.

Uno's LA-style ribs aren't the usual sweet marinated galbi — they're done in a style that highlights the natural flavor of the ribs, so I got to really enjoy the beef itself. At the end, there's the fun of gnawing the meat off the bone, haha.

Beef tongue

Next came a slightly special cut — beef tongue. They laid the thinly sliced tongue on the charcoal and grilled it quickly on both sides; eating it right when the edges turned slightly golden was just right.

The chewy, springy texture unique to beef tongue was really appealing. Be sure to dip it lightly in the lemon sauce that came with it! The more you chew, the more savory flavor comes through, and the citrusy brightness really brought out the beef tongue's flavor.

Last was the Uno charcoal galbi. The moment it hit the charcoal, the marinade started sizzling and a sweet aroma rose up right away >_<

With the first bite you get the sweet, salty marinade first, then the savory beef flavor and charcoal aroma come through after. The balance of the marinade was so good it would pair perfectly with plain white rice too.

I paired the meat with cold beer the whole time, and ahh... a bite of beef grilled over hot charcoal followed by a sip of beer was such a perfect combo!

Finishing with hot pot rice, doenjang jjigae and complimentary bingsu

After finishing the meat, we wrapped up with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and hot pot rice~ The moment we opened the lid on the rice pot, a savory rice aroma rushed out — freshly cooked, the grains were fluffy and glossy, and paired with the hearty doenjang jjigae, it made for the perfect meal haha.

The owner also gave us a complimentary dessert bingsu (shaved ice)! Sweet-and-salty is truly the best combo. The cold, sweet bingsu tasted even better after the meal~
