In short

One Play Jamsil Branch is a comic, board game, and console complex on the 2nd and 3rd floors, a 6-minute walk from Jamsil-saenae Station in Songpa, Seoul. A Switch rental in the Nintendo room for Mario Party, plus arcade consoles and Cockroach Poker and Dobble, made an hour disappear. A solid indoor date spot in Jamsil for rainy or hot days.

Every time we date in Jamsil we end up at a restaurant or a café, so this time I wanted to do something a bit different! I was looking for a place where the two of us could sit comfortably and have time fly by, and that's how I found One Play!! They've got all kinds of board games plus Nintendo, so if you're a gaming couple you can have a really fun time here.

One Play Jamsil Branch spans two floors, the 2nd and 3rd. On the 2nd floor you switch your shoes for slippers and grab a shoe locker key, then head to the counter!! Check-in itself is handled by staff at the counter, not a kiosk~

You're probably curious about One Play's prices. The base hourly rate is ₩4,000! On weekends and holidays, only package rates are available, and packages come with a drink! The default drink is Americano/iced tea, but you can upgrade for an extra cost!!

Board games, comics, Nintendo, PlayStation, and even OTT streaming — I'd say this place is top-tier in Jamsil for variety of content! It's a great indoor activity spot in Jamsil that's comfortable to enjoy whether it's raining, blazing hot, or freezing cold~~

Indoor space with board games and consoles

One Play is designed so you can enjoy restaurant-quality food and handmade desserts all in one space! The cakes looked cafe-quality, so honestly if I'd gotten hungry I probably would've grabbed one! We were headed straight to dinner after playing though, so I passed haha

One Play Jamsil Branch is the widest and most comfortable complex culture space in Jamsil! It's an indoor date spot where you can enjoy thousands of comics, hundreds of board games, console games, Nintendo, and OTT streaming~

3rd floor comics & OTT, 2nd floor gaming space

I thought this place was mainly a board game café / Nintendo café concept in Jamsil, but I was surprised by how many comic books they have too haha. You can lie down in a comfy spot to watch OTT, play board games, and when you get tired, read comics — great for a date~!

Comic book shelves on the 3rd floor

Leave the comics on the 3rd floor and head down to the 2nd floor, and you'll find a space similar in structure to a board game café! With the space split across two floors, the game machines and board games are all visible at a glance, so you can tell right away there's plenty to do!

2nd floor space with game machines and board games

There are so many rooms that you probably won't have to wait long like you would at some Nintendo cafés! One Play's prices aren't a burden either, so if you love games, definitely check it out!! Especially good for indoor couple dates!

Corridor lined with multiple rooms

Usually the 2nd floor at board game cafés can be a bit inconvenient, but here the loft vibe you reach by climbing a ladder is nice and not uncomfortable at all!

The OTT room at One Play Jamsil has a projector installed! A screen comes down on one side and the projector shows the picture on it! Great for spending some private time!

As a board game café in Jamsil, they have more than enough variety of games that you'll never get bored! From popular board games to ones that pretty much anyone will enjoy, it's a great pick if you're looking for an indoor date spot in Jamsil that suits your taste!

How do you use the Nintendo and PlayStation?

If you want to enjoy Nintendo or PlayStation, you leave your ID at the counter and pick a game to play!! Make sure to check in advance, since you can't access anything other than the games available to play at One Play!!

At One Play, the Nintendo café in Jamsil, check the Nintendo Switch cartridges in advance too! You rent them from the counter! Most multiplayer Nintendo titles like Mario Party and Overcooked are available!

Rentable Nintendo Switch game cartridges

The first space we picked was the Nintendo room! We picked up a Nintendo Switch at the counter and hooked it up in the room~! Most of the rooms are about the same size, enough space for 2–3 people! There's also a table for eating!

Food menu lineup

We only dropped by briefly so we just had drinks each, but One Play Jamsil Branch's food menu lineup is also top-notch! Not just simple snacks — it's a space equipped with proper meal options, bunsik (Korean snack food), hot food, and handmade desserts, rivaling any restaurant in Jamsil!

It's not a place where you just grab something to eat carelessly while playing — One Play was a complex culture space you'd be satisfied with even if you came just to eat!! When you're focused on gaming, time flies, and you end up getting hungry, right? haha

One round of Mario Party wipes out an hour

Playing one round of Mario Party on Nintendo made an hour disappear in a flash haha. I didn't win though ㅠㅠ Biting and sabotaging each other actually brings you closer together (?) in a way~

Apparently Nintendo cafés have popped up everywhere these days, but a Jamsil indoor date spot where you can sit comfortably without waiting is still rare, which made it feel even more valuable!

The console arcade machine vibe! This was more than enough fun to enjoy even briefly haha. The freedom to play old games like Tekken as much as you want! There were even over 300 games!!

It's a vibe you don't see much at arcades these days, so it felt oddly nostalgic haha. Picking a game and grabbing the joystick really brought back that childhood arcade feeling! Great to play with friends or a partner~

Board games to unwind: Cockroach Poker and Dobble

During the leftover time, board games took over! It's a good break after your eyes get tired from all the Nintendo and PlayStation~ Cockroach Poker has simple rules and easy mechanics, so anyone can pick it up quickly haha

Playing Dobble with cards on the table

Next up was Dobble, a board game that requires sharp eyes and quick reflexes! This one's also great for making time disappear, so it was really fun~ If you're looking for an indoor date spot in Jamsil when the weather's too hot or it's raining, I'd recommend the Nintendo café, One Play!
