Hi~~~ this is Majorika. I had somewhere to be in Yeouido today, so I made my way there for the first time in a while. Let's dive right into the review of Hyeonseonine, a Yeouido tteokbokki spot in IFC Mall known among The Hyundai Seoul snack fans~~~
How to walk from Yeouido Station to Hyeonseonine Premium at IFC Mall
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is on basement level 2 of IFC Mall. If you head toward Exit 3 of Yeouido Station in the direction of the IFC Mall / Yeouido Hyundai Department Store, you can actually just walk over through the underground passage connected to the subway station without even going up to the exit.

So whether it's raining or snowing, this is a tteokbokki spot for Yeouido office workers that you can reach without getting a single drop on you.

Hyeonseonine Yeouido tteokbokki hours / Opening 11:00 AM / Closing 8:00 PM
There's also a separate outdoor table area set up, so even though it's not technically inside the store, you get that outdoor-tent, street-food vibe while eating your tteokbokki in Yeouido.

Hyeonseonine menu and prices: why the Hyeonseoni Set is the pick
Hyeonseonine, the Yeouido tteokbokki spot at The Hyundai Seoul / IFC Mall snack scene, has quite a varied menu. It's not just tteokbokki — there's mini gimbap (seaweed rice roll), tuna mayo rice bowl, chicken mayo rice bowl, ramyeon, instant tteokbokki and more, and despite being a tteokbokki place, they even sell draft beer.
At Hyeonseonine, tteokbokki starts from ₩6,000 per serving. Apparently the best-selling menu is the Hyeonseoni Set at ₩23,000, a typical set built for two women, which comes with tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae (blood sausage) and gimbap.

Kiosk ordering and the self-serve bar at Hyeonseonine
Inside the store there's a self-serve bar setup where you can grab your own salt, soy sauce, pickled radish, and even an apron.

Ordering is done through the kiosk.

Is the 23,000-won Hyeonseoni Set too much for one person?
For guys with a big appetite, or guys who claim they eat a lot, the Hyeonseoni Set alone should fill you up plenty solo. For women with lighter appetites, it's a perfectly good amount to split between two.

At Hyeonseonine, the Yeouido tteokbokki spot in IFC Mall, you can choose spicy or mild — worth noting when you order — and since the tteokbokki is the broth style, it goes great with the sundae, fried snacks and gimbap that come alongside it. Because you get to eat a bit of everything, I think that's why this set does so well.

The gimbap comes in the mini gimbap style, too.

What comes in the mixed fried snacks, and the udon broth
Now let's get into my Yeouido solo dining at Hyeonseonine, the tteokbokki spot in IFC Mall at The Hyundai Seoul.

The fried snacks are squid fritters and sweet potato fritters.
There's also kimmari (fried seaweed noodle rolls), mandu (dumplings), and vegetable fritters — dipping them in the tteokbokki broth is a great move.
It doesn't come with fish cake skewers, but udon broth is served alongside. The gimbap is nicely bite-sized, and the broth is delicious too.

Who is Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall best for?
I enjoyed Hyeonseonine, the Yeouido tteokbokki spot at The Hyundai Seoul / IFC Mall, solo. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good solo dining spot in Yeouido, or anyone who's out for a client meeting and wants a quick, simple meal. If you're heading to Yeouido Hangang Park, it's also worth swinging by to grab some tteokbokki to go.
