With the weather turning a bit cooler these days, I felt it was time to switch out my summery pedicure for something more autumn. So this time I headed to Byuazeu Hongdae Nail in Hongdae for an autumn pedicure! It's known as one of the go-to nail places in Hongdae, and when I visited there were quite a few foreign customers there too 💅

Inside Byuazeu Hongdae Nail: two guests served side by side

Inside this Hongdae gel nail salon, the space felt spacious, clean and tidy overall — bright and relaxed, so I felt comfortable the moment I walked in 🤗 They can also do two people at once, so if you want to get your nails or pedicure done with a friend, you don't have to wait separately — you can go together. I'll definitely come back with a friend next time!!

Monthly hand art done as a pedicure for 10,000 won extra

This time I came to this Hongdae gel nail salon wanting a pedicure that fit the autumn mood!? I hadn't decided on a design beforehand, but while browsing the monthly art designs in the shop, I found one I really liked!! It was originally a hand design, but they said that for an extra ₩10,000 I could get it done as a pedicure instead — so I went with the monthly art design I'd fallen for 💅

Even though I came in without a design in mind, there were so many monthly art options that I could take my time browsing and choosing right there at this Hongdae gel nail salon!

The Byuazeu pedicure starts with a foot soak

Before the pedicure itself, we started with a foot soak! Honestly, when I go for a pedicure without having washed my feet beforehand, it can feel a little self-conscious and uncomfortable — but doing the foot soak first here made my feet feel properly clean and put me at ease too haha

Since I still had my old pedicure on, they started with removing the old gel. After that, they carefully shaped my nails and cared for the surrounding skin — fast hands, but there was no sense of rushing, everything was tidied up really neatly!!

Gel removal to finished art in about one hour

Once the care was neatly finished, they applied the color and then moved on to the art — and I was surprised at how fast it all went. From removing the old pedicure to care, color, and art, the whole thing took about an hour haha

Fast hands, but the finished result was still clean — I'd been worried it would take forever, so this was such a relief haha. So how does the finished pedicure look? Definitely gives off that autumn feeling, right? haha. It was originally a hand design that I switched to a pedicure, but it actually suits feet pretty well too, don't you think?!

Final toenail care and how the autumn pedicure turned out

They shaped my toenails neatly and took care of the cuticles thoroughly too, so my feet feel really clean overall 🦶 Longevity matters more than you'd think with pedicures, so I prefer places that are meticulous during the process — and the finish here was clean all around 🤗 I don't wear sandals that often these days, but every time I take my shoes off and see a pretty pedicure, it just makes me happy‼️

This time, getting an autumn pedicure at Byuazeu, this Hongdae gel nail salon, really shifted the mood, and I think I'll feel good every time I look at my toenails for a while!!
