Garosu-gil Chinese restaurant 2 xiaolongbao sets and jjamppong: Samsin
In short
Samsin Garosu-gil is a Chinese restaurant near Garosu-gil in Gangnam, Seoul, a 10-minute walk from Sinsa Station, with an unusual menu that mixes Korean, Chinese and Japanese dishes. Over dinner with a former coworker, the table shared two sets of xiaolongbao (soup dumplings, 8,000 won each), East Coast seafood jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup, 13,000 won) and Hokkaido milk cream shrimp (24,000 won), and the deeply smoky jjamppong was the dish that stayed in mind. With private rooms and a round group table, Samsin Garosu-gil also works well for hosting guests.

A date in Gangnam Sinsa's Garosu-gil with a pretty former coworker of mine~ Garosu-gil was emptier than I expected, but we browsed Daiso, stopped by the Apple Store, and even swung by Aladin used bookstore! After a little chat break at a pretty café, it was suddenly dinner time!
Wondering what to eat, we went with Chinese food — a safe bet even for a picky eater! This place had just opened and had really good reviews, so I'd been curious to try it.
The verdict, in short:
- The jjamppong (noodle soup) with its smoky flavor and generous ingredients was insanely good!
- Satisfied with the upscale interior and service!
I really left satisfied with what a great Chinese restaurant this was...! Let me introduce it: "Samsin"
Where is Samsin Garosu-gil and how do you find the entrance?

Private rooms, group seating and the mood inside Samsin
Step inside and you're met with a luxurious interior with jade-green accents.

There are also private rooms like this, so you can enjoy your meal privately too. "Samsin," a Sinsa Chinese restaurant with rooms.

Each room has its own separate heater, so it seems like it'd be comfortable year-round, summer or winter.

In the main hall there are also these round group seats, so you can enjoy a classy meal even without booking a room in advance.

The basic setting includes tableware, a menu, wet wipes, napkins, and jasmine tea~ The jasmine tea was served not too hot, which I appreciated even more!

Ordering can be done via table tag or QR code. So convenient~

What's on the menu at Samsin Garosu-gil, and what we ordered
Samsin is a Chinese restaurant that harmoniously blends Korean, Chinese, and Japanese flavors! Maybe that's why it had so many unusual dishes you don't see at other Chinese restaurants.

Such a fancy menu! Organized into courses, mains, meal dishes, and drinks.
We ordered
- Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), 2 sets (₩8,000 each)
- Dong-hae (East Sea) Seafood Jjamppong (₩13,000)
- Hokkaido Milk Cream Shrimp (₩24,000)
Like this!
Two sets of xiaolongbao, and how to eat them

First up, the xiaolongbao! Piping hot~ so packed with broth and so delicious!! We ate them with shredded ginger and soy sauce, yum.

There aren't that many places that do xiaolongbao well, so I was surprised how good these were! Glad we ordered two sets.

They gave us a little extra shredded ginger, happy happy~

You put on the shredded ginger and soy sauce, enjoy the broth inside, and then eat!! So good we finished them in no time, haha.

The unusual one: Hokkaido milk cream shrimp, 24,000 won
The unusual Hokkaido milk cream shrimp! Topped with Hokkaido-style fresh cream, it was soft and sweet~

There were really plump, springy shrimp inside, so one big bite filled my mouth with happiness...★

East Coast seafood jjamppong: smoky wok flavor above all
Last to arrive, the Dong-hae seafood jjamppong! Whew, the smoky, charred aroma took over the moment it landed on the table~
Since we ordered two sets of xiaolongbao, we only got one main dish, and that turned out to be a smart call!! The jjamppong was so generous that the two of us scooped from it again and again~

The noodles were great too, and it was loaded with seafood and vegetables — 200% satisfaction!! Plus, the rich broth totally won over this broth-lover... a seriously delicious jjamppong!
Who is Samsin Garosu-gil worth visiting for?
With its upscale interior and friendly service, it won me over the moment I walked in~ The main dishes, the xiaolongbao, the meal dishes (especially that amazing jjamppong) — it was such a satisfying dinner!
If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant that really delivers near Gangnam Sinsa, a jjamppong spot for solo lunches, or a room-equipped Chinese restaurant for hosting VIPs and guests, Samsin seems like the perfect fit.
I think I'll come back again to try more of the unusual dishes and meal items!! Recommending "Samsin" in Garosu-gil.
