In short
Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch is an all-you-can-eat shaved pork restaurant a 3-minute walk from Jamsilsaenae Station in Songpa, Seoul. Muhan Paldo Daepae in Jamsilsaenae: 18,900 won all-you-can-eat pork
Capturing flavors from all across Korea, Muhan Paldo Daepae is an all-you-can-eat meat restaurant in Jamsilsaenae. I'm not usually a fan of all-you-can-eat places, but Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch is the one I go back to whenever I'm craving meat.
I've been here plenty of times on my own dime too, and the price is really kind — ₩18,900 for adults, absolute best value! The interior is spacious, so it's also great for group gatherings. Anyone who wants to eat meat until they're sick of it will be satisfied at Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch. It's about a 3-minute walk from Jamsilsaenae Station.

Unlimited soju for 5,000 won more (or 3,000 won a bottle)
At this Jamsilsaenae favorite, you can add unlimited soju for ₩5,000. These days a single bottle of soju runs ₩5,000–6,000, so this is genuinely great value.
There's also water naengmyeon, bibim naengmyeon (cold noodles), steamed egg, doenjang jjigae, and more. Ordering just one bottle of soju separately is only ₩3,000, so it's no burden either.

6 meats, 8 Paldo sauces and the self-serve bar
Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch has quite a variety of meat too. Even though it's an all-you-can-eat place, about six types are on offer — Korean shaved pork, frozen pork belly, shaved beef brisket, flower shaved pork belly, and more — plus bracken fern, wrap vegetables, seasoned scallions, king oyster mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, pink sausage, onions, kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, tofu, potatoes, and rice cakes.
True to the name Muhan Paldo ("unlimited eight provinces"), there are a total of 8 sauces, each with its own distinct appeal, so you never get tired of the meat no matter how much you eat. There's even tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), dinner rolls, slushies, and Han River ramyeon — Muhan Paldo Daepae really has it all.

Grilling the shaved pork: how good is the meat?
Each table comes with a serving tray and steel bowls for the meat. I gathered various ingredients to grill on the pan. I wanted to try each type of meat, so I brought back small portions of everything. A place where you never have to feel self-conscious about how much you eat! I also grabbed three sauces I wanted to try first.
The shaved pork belly slices turned golden brown on the grill. I brought over a variety — beef brisket, Korean shaved pork, flower shaved pork belly — and grilled them all. The big advantage of shaved meat is that it cooks fast. The quality at this Jamsilsaenae favorite is quite good for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. It's savory, has no gamey smell, and the texture is tender.

I grilled the kimchi and bean sprouts together and ate them along with the meat, wrapped some in perilla leaves, dipped into the various Paldo sauces one by one, and wrapped some in pickled radish too — tangy and delicious. It's great that there's bracken fern too. Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch lets you enjoy so many different flavors that there's never a dull moment.

I also grilled the pink sausage and potatoes, and grilled kimchi pairs especially well with the shaved pork belly. The spicy-sweet gochujang sauce was tasty, and personally I liked the soy sauce best. Pouring sauce over the meat lets you grill it up like seasoned meat too.

Doenjang jjigae for 3,000 won
I ordered the bubbling doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) separately — it's ₩3,000 and comes in a generous portion. It's not amazingly flavorful, but it's savory and goes well with the meat, so I'd order it again next time. Next time I should try the naengmyeon too.
Finishing with Paldo sauce bibimbap, Han River ramyeon and fried rice
Another way to enjoy this Jamsilsaenae favorite: bibimbap. With the variety of Paldo sauces available, grilling the meat well, chopping it up, and mixing it into rice with vegetables tastes amazing. There's Chungcheong-style cheonggukjang (fermented soybean) bibimbap, Jeolla-style Jeonju bibimbap, and even Gangwon-style soy sauce bibimbap!
After eating my fill of delicious meat, there's one thing you can't skip — boiling up Han River ramyeon! Muhan Paldo Daepae Jamsilsaenae Branch has a variety of ramyeon types ready. I went for Shin Ramyeon for a spicy finish. It was boiled up in the bubbling Han River ramyeon machine, and it came out chewy and delicious. Ramyeon alone is plenty filling, but fried rice can't be skipped either.
The fried rice also comes with various sauces so you can make it exactly the style you want. Rice, kimchi, and seaweed flakes are prepared separately. Adding a savory drizzle of sesame oil and mixing it with the grilled shaved pork belly makes for an even better bowl of fried rice.

Among all-you-can-eat meat restaurants, this Jamsilsaenae favorite offers great value, but the meat quality and side dishes are also well prepared. It's a place I leave satisfied every time I visit.
