Jamsil sandwich shop solo meal: spicy chicken ciabatta, Florisandwich
In short
Florisandwich Jamsil is a 12-year-old handmade sandwich shop in the Lycien Castle commercial building by Jamsilsaenae Station in Songpa, Seoul. Eating alone, I had the shop's best-selling spicy chicken ciabatta (10,800 won) and the basil chicken apple bun (12,000 won), then took an apple egg mayo sandwich (8,500 won) home, and the basil-and-apple pairing stuck with me most. With easy seats for solo diners and a 7am opening, Florisandwich is a solid quick meal near Jamsilsaenae.

Maybe it's because I just got back from Europe, but lately I keep craving bread sandwiches. So I went looking for a good sandwich place. For reference, I'm not usually a bread person — I only eat sandwiches or bread if they're genuinely delicious. I checked reviews and thought it through before heading to Florisandwich 🥪🥪🥪 Let's start the review!
Florisandwich Jamsil location and opening hours
Florisandwich Jamsil is located at 145 Olympic-ro, Lycien Castle commercial building 1A40, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Hours are Mon–Fri 07:00–19:00, Sat 07:00–15:00, closed every Sunday (though group orders are still possible). Parking is available in the Lycien Castle commercial building.
It opens early in the morning, so it's perfect for an early breakfast box too! It's already a real local sandwich institution in Jamsil, twelve years running.

How to walk to Florisandwich from Jamsilsaenae Station
Florisandwich Jamsil is located near Jamsilsaenae Station. It's a great spot when you're looking for lunch around Jamsilsaenae! It's in the Lycien Castle commercial building, right across from the escalator.

I took photos of the left and right sides too, so use them as a reference on your way 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️

Inside Florisandwich: is it comfortable for eating alone?
Interior of the shop

Overall the Florisandwich shop felt clean and tidy 👍🏻 There were more seats than expected, so it felt easy to visit alone and have a simple meal. Great choice when you want something quick and healthy near Jamsilsaenae. The vibe was totally comfortable for solo dining, and as a professional solo diner, I was very satisfied 😆😆😆

They apparently use domestic antibiotic-free chicken breast, hand-trimmed, seasoned and marinated in-house. These days I care as much about ingredients as taste, and this really earned my trust 👍🏻 As a handmade sandwich specialist using fresh ingredients, they bake in the oven every day.

A cute little corner with snow globes tucked into the shop. The whole place has a cozy, adorable feel.

Basil chicken apple bun, 12,000 won: a combination I'd never tried
First, the basil chicken apple bun 🍏🥪 This was genuinely a combination I'd never tasted before. The fragrance of the basil, the light savoriness of the chicken, and the subtle sweetness of the apple all came through together, and it worked way better than I expected 👍🏻✨😆🍏🥪 It wasn't a common sandwich flavor — it was unique and special, which made it stick in my memory even more. I kept eating it while being genuinely surprised haha.
I'm not usually a bread person and only like sandwiches that are actually delicious, but this one really was, with a nutty, light flavor different from regular bread. The owner explained that it's a health-conscious bread, so you can eat it without guilt, and it's a popular pick even among people who need to watch their sugar intake. Apparently it's also sold a lot as hospital snacks or health food (just FYI).
A basil chicken apple bun that uses healthy ingredients but still nails the flavor 👍🏻 The harmony of basil and apple is so good, I need to try using that combo when I cook too haha.

Spicy chicken ciabatta, 10,800 won: the No. 1 seller
Next up, the spicy chicken ciabatta 🥪 They say it's the most popular menu item, and it's a perfect fit for Korean taste buds. A perfect balance — not too spicy, not too greasy — and the chicken was tender too 👍🏻 It was delicious enough to live up to its reputation. A flavor most people would like, with little room for disagreement!

Apple egg mayo sandwich, 8,500 won, taken home to go
Since I'm a light eater, I packed the rest to take home along with an extra. The apple egg mayo sandwich I took home was a straightforward, classic egg sandwich 🥚 Seems like something kids could eat without any fuss. My personal favorites remain the basil chicken apple bun and the spicy chicken ciabatta.
Florisandwich Jamsil, a Jamsil sandwich favorite — highly recommended as a special, healthy, and delicious sandwich shop 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
