Green grape ade and ang-butter salt bread: Songdo café Cozy Bear
In short
Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery Songdo Hagwonga Branch is a new salt bread bakery café on the first floor of Caris Plaza in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. On a Saturday afternoon the writer's family took one of the three outdoor terrace seats and used the 3+1 salt bread event to pick four breads, pairing handmade ang-butter (red bean and butter) and plain salt bread with an iced americano at 3,800 won and a green grape ade at 5,500 won. The salt breads at Cozy Bear are easy to share by flavor, and the coffee prices are on the cheap side.

Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery in Songdo, Incheon

A new salt bread spot has popped up among the café-bakeries in Songdo, Incheon!! While looking for a place where I could grab coffee and enjoy delicious salt bread at the same time, I ended up at Cozy Bear ..🤎

Cozy Bear's 3+1 salt bread event: picking four breads
What caught my eye most that day was the salt bread 3+1 event! For my salt bread-loving family, that wasn't something we could just walk past haha. Buy 3 and get 1 more plain salt bread free, so we ended up tasting a total of four :)

Where is Cozy Bear, and what are the terrace seats like on a Saturday afternoon?
📍 Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery in Songdo, Incheon is located at 160-19 Haedoji-ro, 1st floor of Karis Plaza

The shop was cozy but had quite a lot of tables, and maybe because it was Saturday afternoon, plenty of people were already enjoying coffee and salt bread haha. There were also 3 outdoor terrace seats, so we grabbed a spot on the terrace!

Drinks at Cozy Bear: iced americano 3,800 won, green grape ade 5,500 won
The drinks we ordered that day: iced Americano 3.8, iced café latte 4.5, grape ade with lots of pulp 5.5. The coffee prices were reasonable — very nice 👍

What goes into Cozy Bear's salt bread?
What I was most looking forward to, of course, was Cozy Bear's salt bread 🤎

Cozy Bear's ang-butter salt bread apparently uses domestic red beans that they boil down themselves! No wonder it really tasted like handmade red bean paste. And the salt bread itself uses French President butter, Guérande sea salt, and premium flour!

When I visited, they had castella salt bread, mentaiko (pollock roe) salt bread, garlic salt bread, handmade ang-butter salt bread, and plain salt bread~

They happened to be running the salt bread 3+1 event, so when we picked 3, we got 1 extra plain salt bread on top :)

How does Cozy Bear's green grape ade taste?
How do the salt breads taste with the ade?
Our drinks and salt bread all arrived +_+ the salt bread visuals were no joke hahaha. The grape ade with lots of pulp really did have grape flesh in it as the name suggests, so instead of a typical soda feel, it had a fruity vibe! Very refreshing and tangy 😁

First off, the salt bread itself was on the larger side 👍 The aroma was wafting even before we took a bite 💛

Handmade ang-butter salt bread at Cozy Bear
We started with the handmade ang-butter salt bread — with handmade red bean paste and butter sandwiched inside, it had both a sweet and savory-nutty flavor! Maybe because it's handmade red bean, it wasn't overly sweet and had a real, genuine red bean taste haha.

Plain salt bread at Cozy Bear
The plain salt bread had that classic salt bread texture — crisp outside, soft inside — perfect to enjoy. The balance of buttery flavor and saltiness is what matters most with salt bread, and paired with coffee, it just couldn't not be delicious 😍
If you're a fan of salt bread in general, you absolutely have to try the plain one too! And thanks to the 3+1 event, we got to try several kinds, which was great haha. If you're visiting with family or a group like we did, I'd recommend picking different flavors of salt bread to share :)

Is the coffee at Cozy Bear good for the price?
The coffee was also cheaper than other café-bakeries in Songdo, Incheon, and the taste was quite good too! The iced Americano had a nice aroma and just the right strength, and the iced café latte had milk in it, so it was nutty and smooth — great with the salt bread :)

If you love salt bread, Cozy Bear in Songdo, Incheon is a must-visit new spot! It even has an outdoor terrace, so on a nice day, having salt bread and coffee there makes me so happy 💗
