Best yurinki of my life at a Hanam Misa Chinese restaurant
In short
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch is a scorched rice soup and Chinese restaurant on Misa-daero in Hanam, Gyeonggi, and a well-known spot near Starfield Hanam. On an evening when her husband finished work early, the writer ordered the combo set of tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), yurinki (crispy chicken in tangy sauce) and chili shrimp, and the yurinki piled high with fresh vegetables became the best she has ever had. Between the large parking lot, the sofa booths and the refillable side dishes, O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang also worked well for a family meal with a baby.

The yurinki (crispy chicken with tangy sauce) was so good I already decided I'm coming back — this Hanam Chinese restaurant near Starfield, O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch.

What kind of restaurant is O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch?
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch is a scorched rice soup and Chinese restaurant on Misa-daero in Hanam, Gyeonggi, famous as a restaurant near Starfield Hanam. On a day my husband suddenly said he'd be off work early, we decided to eat out for once (?) and went.
We go to Starfield often, and this place is famous as a nearby restaurant. It's spacious, parking is easy, and with both scorched rice soup and Chinese dishes on the menu, you can order a good variety — it seemed like a great spot for a family gathering with parents.
We ordered the set menu with chili shrimp, yurinki, and tangsuyuk, and the yurinki was seriously, seriously good (best yurinki I've ever had, for real!) — we already agreed to come back next time. Ate well and went home happy.
How to get to O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang and where to park
We drove over easily. Parking is right in front of the restaurant, and there's a pretty big lot so parking is no hassle.

A really, really big place.

The building is big enough that if you bring your parents, they'll go "wow, this looks great!" The parking lot is spacious too.
Inside the Hanam Misa restaurant: sofa booths with partitions

The inside of O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch was just as clean and spacious. Lots of tables, and plenty of space between them.

The tables in the center of the hall were nice, and by the window there are sofa booths — these sofa booths have their own partitions, so you can have a fairly private gathering. Also, my parents totally love this kind of sofa seating.
What's on the menu and how much does it cost?

- Scorched rice soup: Seafood, Seafood Abalone, Mung Bean Abalone, Maesaengi Abalone, Hwangje Jeongabok
- Chinese menu: Tangsuyuk, Yurinki, Chili Shrimp, Palbochae, Jeongabok
- Set menu: Combo (Tangsuyuk, Yurinki, Shrimp)

Other menu: flat king fried dumplings, cold bean noodle soup, and more. The menu is basically split into scorched rice soup dishes and Chinese dishes — this place is known for the scorched rice soup, but that day I really wanted yurinki, so we ordered the combo.
Side dishes at O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang and free refills
Ordered the combo and waited. The combo comes with chili shrimp, tangsuyuk, and yurinki.

Basic side dish setup. Since this place's main thing is scorched rice soup, the side dishes are set generously with namul (seasoned vegetables) and salad — loved it. I started with the salad, which I don't usually get to eat much.

This is green onion kimchi, fermented just right and delicious.

You can refill side dishes from the salad bar.

Namul, kimchi, salad — all refillable, so I loved that we could eat as many vegetables as we wanted.

There was kimchi, green onion kimchi, and even orange, so I peeled some orange for my kid. (After I peeled the orange, she wouldn't touch the apple we brought from home… these days she has a scarily good sense for what tastes good.)
How does the combo set taste? Chili shrimp, yurinki and tangsuyuk

Our combo set arrives. Seriously highly recommend this — it's a delicious + delicious + delicious combo, so ordering this one gets you the ultimate Hanam Chinese restaurant experience.

Chili shrimp.

The chili shrimp came out with lettuce, and the shrimp were so plump and bouncy with crispy batter — really delicious.

Personally, this yurinki was seriously, seriously delicious. It comes piled with a ton of vegetables, and eating it with the sauce is tangy and sweet — so good.

And the chicken itself is crispy yet moist, so it's delicious even on its own, + combined with the vegetables and sauce it becomes the best yurinki of my life. If you're looking for a restaurant near Starfield Hanam, please come here.

I loved all those vegetables piled on top.

This place's specialty: they give you a lot of vegetables. Plenty of reasons for us to love it.

This is the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). It was delicious too, though it got a bit overshadowed since everything else was so good. But the tangsuyuk really was tasty, and it went well with the sauce.

Loved that it was piled with vegetables too.

Properly crispy outside, tender inside chicken. Not sure how they fry it, but even with the moist sauce on it, the batter never got soggy — so good.

And the plump, bouncy shrimp too — ate very well and headed home.
Is O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang good for a family meal with a baby?
This Hanam Chinese restaurant near Starfield, O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang Hanam Misa Main Branch, felt like a great spot for a family gathering — the space is big and upscale, and the food is delicious too. With such a spacious parking lot and a big restaurant, bringing your parents here should get you a "hey, this place is pretty good!" haha. My mom and dad would probably love it.
There are baby chairs and wide spacing between tables, so it also seemed great for going with a baby. That day, there were more than three tables with babies. That probably says something about how family-friendly this restaurant is.
Above all, the yurinki is seriously, seriously delicious. Best yurinki of my life. I'm going back for more!!! You have to try the yurinki, it's so good haha.
