She bragged so much about how good the food was that I couldn't hold back my curiosity any longer, so this time I came to Jamsil determined to properly crush some raw shrimp sashimi at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch ✨

The moment I opened the door, I was surprised at how spacious it was inside! The whole vibe is super retro and full of atmosphere, right up my alley. Being on the 2nd floor with a big open window was a huge plus ✨ On one wide wall, a movie kept playing the whole time, which was such a nice touch... I thought this would make a perfect Jamsil date spot too 💕

As soon as we sat down, corn cheese macaroni came out as the basic side dish, and it was genuinely so good...🌽 We scraped the plate clean before the food even arrived, gone in seconds ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Extra is ₩500!

There's an ongoing event where you can drink Hanmaek draft beer for ₩100 if you order before 7pm 🍺 So we immediately ordered a glass each and drank it nice and cold! Even after 7pm it's only ₩1,900, so the value is absolutely insane ㄷㄷ

The moment it hit the table, I was amazed by the visual of the raw shrimp sashimi at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch!! The portion was bigger than expected, and along with the plump raw shrimp sashimi, it came with fried shrimp heads, lemon, garlic, chili, aged baek-kimchi, and gim (dried seaweed) — a really generous spread. Three sauces: soy sauce, chogochujang, and sriracha mayo!!

I picked up a piece of the raw shrimp sashimi and tried it — zero fishy taste, so incredibly fresh, chewy and sweet, genuinely delicious ㅠㅠㅠㅠ The fried shrimp heads that came with it were surprisingly meaty, crispy and savory — perfect as a beer snack 🍤

Sichuan mala beef tendon hot pot: okay for mala beginners?

The Sichuan mala beef tendon hot pot we ordered together didn't have an overly strong mala scent, just a mild spiciness, so I think even people who can't handle mala well would enjoy it without complaints! Inside were beef pork belly, beef tendon, enoki mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, bok choy, napa cabbage, bean sprouts, glass noodles, and white cloud ear mushrooms — basically all the popular mala tang ingredients gathered in one pot... The beef tendon, fully soaked in broth, was so chewy and springy! I feel like adding udon noodles would've been amazing, but I couldn't because I felt like my stomach was about to burst — a bit of a shame 🥹
