Extra-large jjajangmyeon at a Marine City Chinese restaurant: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant on the second floor above Subyeon Choego Pork Gukbap at the end of Marine City in Haeundae, Busan. The order was BUUK jjajangmyeon (extra-large portion), beef woosamgyeop jjamppong (spicy seafood-style noodle soup) and black vinegar sirloin tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork): the jjajangmyeon noodles had gone a little soft, while the bone-broth jjamppong and glutinous-rice tangsuyuk were both satisfying. At Bueokgan Chinese, sticking to the jjamppong and tangsuyuk makes for a happy meal.

Haeundae lunch between yoga classes: pumpkin pastry soup at Bueokgan

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a Western-style brunch restaurant on the second floor of a building on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. Dropping in between yoga classes, we ordered the pastry soup at 10,000 won, the napa cabbage Caesar salad at 16,000 won and the jambon pizza at 24,000 won, and the deeply flavoured pumpkin soup and the honey-drizzled jambon pizza were the standouts. With one bright hall, one toned-down hall and basement parking, Bueokgan Haeundae Branch works well for a weekend date or a meal out with children.

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Adelis commercial building in Marine City, Haeundae, Busan. Bueokgan has its own parking lot near the coastal walking trail that leads to Dongbaekseom, so the weekend visit was easy, and the meal was suran ganjajang (black bean noodles with a poached egg), usamgyeop beef jjamppong (spicy seafood-style noodle soup with thin-sliced beef belly) and black vinegar tenderloin tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). With Marine City and the Haeundae sea in view from the window, it suits family get-togethers and group dinners.

Arch-nook brunch in Haeundae: arugula prosciutto pizza at Bueokgan

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a European restaurant of more than 100 pyeong on the second floor of a building along Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan.
