Seoul Korean restaurant near Seocho Station for a dinner with friends

Seocho Jeonggye is a Korean restaurant specialising in dak han mari (whole chicken hot pot) on Beopwon-ro 1-gil, near Exit 7 of Seocho Station on Seoul's Line 2. On an after-work dinner visit, Seocho Jeonggye's signature dak han mari came with deep broth and no gamey smell, and the potato pancake was crisp outside and moist inside. Extra rice cakes are worth ordering by default, and Seocho Jeonggye works well for a team dinner too.

On a Friday evening the writer took a terrace table facing the Lotte Tower night view and ordered the signature Face Off pizza, mushroom cream pasta and Cass draft beer, then followed the owner's tip of piling the pasta on top of a pizza slice. The pasta portion felt a little small, but the freshly baked pizza and cold beer made for a satisfying night out.

The course was packed tightly enough to leave us completely full, making Jeulgeoun Maeumeuro a satisfying choice for treating family.
