Jamsilsaenae hair salon head spa with scalp diagnosis: Only For You

Lately I've been wanting to check my scalp condition properly, not just my hairstyle, haha. Since I usually just shampoo and move on, I rarely got a real look at what's actually going on with my scalp. This time I visited Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch, a hair salon in Jamsilsaenae, and had designer Q check my scalp and give me a treatment lol.

What I really liked was that they didn't just jump straight into treatment — they magnified my scalp first and walked me through what they saw.

Where is Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch, and what are its hours?

Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch is located on the 3rd floor of 39 Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. It's within walking distance of Jamsilsaenae Station, so getting there by public transit was easy haha.

When I visited, the area around it was the Jamsilsaenae restaurant alley with lots of buildings and shops, so you find the building on Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil and head up to the 3rd floor. Posted hours are currently Mon–Sat 11am to 10pm, and Sunday until 8pm, with parking support also available.

Inside the salon: interior and seating

Going up to the 3rd floor and through the hallway, the Only For You storefront was noticeably more polished than your typical neighborhood salon haha. Once inside, the space was also pretty spacious.

With white and gray tones and lighting built around the mirrors, the whole place felt clean and slightly futuristic lol. There was a long stretch of big windows too, so it never felt cramped — it happened to be raining when I visited, and watching the rain run down outside the window actually made the mood even better haha. The shampoo area and treatment area were separated, and the seats overall had generous spacing, so it looked comfortable even for a longer session.

How much does scalp care at Only For You Jamsilsaenae Branch cost?

There was a separate price board in the salon, so I could check roughly how much things would cost before starting. Based on the price board in the photos, a designer cut starts from ₩35,000, and there were various programs for color, perm, hair care, and scalp care haha.

The scalp care I was interested in was listed from ₩90,000 on the price board. The final amount can vary depending on the designer's level and the actual treatment, so it's probably best to confirm during a consultation when you visit lol. They also run discount promotions on select perm or color services for first-time visitors, so it's worth checking that when booking.

How the scalp diagnosis with the magnifying scope works

This session was with designer Q. Instead of heading straight to the shampoo chair, there was a step first to check my current scalp condition haha.

Holding a camera-type device close to my scalp let me see it magnified on a screen — parts you'd never be able to check with a regular mirror. It was pretty fascinating lol. Rather than vaguely assuming 'my scalp is probably fine,' actually seeing it on screen and getting an explanation made it so much easier to understand my current condition. They also explained which areas needed the most attention, which was honestly one of the most satisfying parts of this visit haha.

The scalp care treatment, step by step

Once the check was done, the real scalp care began. As you can see in the photos, there was dedicated equipment specifically for scalp use haha. Unlike the usual shampoo-only routine at home, this was a noticeably more detailed process for the scalp.

Applying the product and working it into the scalp was less intense than I expected, and I could just sit back comfortably lol. Best of all, since the treatment came after actually seeing my scalp condition, it wasn't just 'oh that feels refreshing' — I understood why each step was necessary. Afterward my scalp felt noticeably cleaner and lighter, and even my hair felt lighter overall haha.
