Gwangalli breakfast café for a loaded house salad: Famous Benny
In short
Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is an Australian-style brunch café in Suyeong, Busan, opening at 8 AM. I added avocado, smoked salmon, and grilled mushrooms to the house salad, then had a bacon egg roll and yogurt bowl. Verdict: a satisfying, healthy-but-indulgent breakfast or brunch stop.

It was easy to find because it’s right in front of the Millak-dong Administrative Welfare Center!
A café for an early brunch in Gwangalli
It’s open daily from 8 AM to 6 PM, with last orders at 5 PM. Cafés that open early in Gwangalli are precious, but Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch opens at 8 AM! So good for coming by for breakfast too.
There’s no dedicated parking, so please use a nearby parking lot. 🐾 Dogs are welcome! Pet etiquette is a must, haha.

The entire two-story building is Famous Benny, and the exterior has such a modern feel. There are stairs to the second floor outside, as well as stairs up from inside the first floor!

The first floor has the ordering counter and around four tables for two.

Outdoor seats that would be sooo nice on a beautiful day!

Second-floor seating and laptop workspace
Upstairs, there’s an even larger space. There are round tables for four, and by the window are atmospheric low tables and chairs.

The wall-side tables have outlets, so they’re great for laptop work. The space gets lovely natural light, and I thought it would be such a nice place to come alone, read a book, and take your time.

Ordering the house salad and bacon egg roll
There was such a wide range of drinks—coffee, tea, matcha specials, ades, and more—as well as gelato and smoothies. Their signature brunch dish is The Famous Benny, with a choice of bacon or salmon, and there are lots of toast options too, including French toast and smoked salmon toast.
- House salad with avocado, smoked salmon, and grilled mushrooms added
- Bacon egg roll
- Americano (decaf)
- Yogurt bowl
That’s what I ordered.

What a generous spread. A combination that takes care of both health and flavor!! I visited around 10–11 AM that day, and I wanted something healthy without it being too heavy—such a good choice. Especially the salad!! It was sooo delicious..

I want to eat it again.. It tastes healthy, but also deliciously indulgent, so there’s less guilt and more happiness.

I’d walked there on an empty stomach and was both hungry and wanting a filling meal, so I went ahead and added everything to the house salad lol.

The avocado was perfectly ripe. Soft and nutty!!

Greens + grilled mushrooms + smoked salmon. If I had to recommend just one add-on, I’d say the grilled mushrooms! They were grilled so well—nicely chewy and seasoned just right.

Bacon egg roll with a soft-yolk fried egg
The bacon egg roll. Since it was called an egg roll, I thought it would come rolled up, but it was more like a burger.

The burger bun is generously spread with spicy mayonnaise, then filled with bacon, a fried egg, and cheese, so it feels like eating a handcrafted burger. Super filling and so, so good. The soft-yolk fried egg especially added that rich, luscious taste..🫶

The grilled mushrooms were so good that I ate them with the bacon egg roll too lol. The combination was actually pretty nice.

A yogurt bowl loaded with toppings
The yogurt bowl! It’s yogurt generously filled with honey, granola, assorted berries, and more. Sweet and tangy, with an easy-to-love flavor that anyone would enjoy! There are lots of toppings too, so it’s filling even on its own.

There’s banana in it too 🍌 And apparently I scraped the bowl completely clean, yogurt and all 👀
If you’re visiting Gwangalli and staying nearby, I recommend it for breakfast. It’s also perfect for a brunch date!! Such a lovely café for coming alone, ordering coffee and brunch, and quietly reading a book to recharge 🫶
