What a Friday night feels like at Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch
Here's the inside of Yuumangju, a hot spot bar in Seomyeon, Busan! We visited on a Friday evening and it was almost fully packed, true to its hot-spot reputation...!!
The interior is really spacious with lots of tables, but it was still full of people! Since the place is big, it seemed like there were a lot of group customers too, like club gatherings.

Two side dishes for a second round, and what they cost
This is the menu at Yuumangju, a snack spot in Seomyeon! From mains to sides, so many menu options...!!
Since this was our second round, we decided to order two side dishes instead of a main!
- ✅ Pepperoni cream pasta ₩14,000
- ✅ Cheese bomb potato pancake ₩18,000
- ✅ Jinro soju ₩5,500
Order placed!!

The free starter: garlic baguette with honey
As soon as we ordered, they brought the complimentary starter and soju!

The complimentary starter is a garlic baguette topped with honey! This one is honestly also a hidden gem...!!!!
Sweet and salty, the kind of flavor that makes drinking go down smoothly!

While waiting for the food to come out, I looked at the wall and saw 'the potential is still in progress...!!' — the phrase 'you are today's rising star (yumangju)' really hit home haha!! We're all rising stars full of potential!!!!
So we've got to drink even harder~

And right then, the two side dishes we ordered came out!! Wow, even as side dishes the portions were bigger than expected!!!

Cheese bomb potato pancake: fire chicken sauce is the kick
First up, the cheese bomb potato pancake! A ton of cheese piled on top of the pancake!

Since eating so much cheese can get rich after a while, they prepared fire chicken sauce (buldak sauce) on the side! Isn't this basically a can't-lose combination~!!

Pepperoni cream pasta, torched for a smoky finish
And next, the pepperoni cream pasta!

The cream pasta also had a ton of cheese on top, torched for a smoky flavor — just the smell alone was seriously delicious...!!

And since eating just pasta might get plain, pepperoni is piled on the side!!! It's a combination I'm trying for the first time, and it looks delicious...!
Kya~ how could you not have soju with this combo~ so we clinked glasses right away~
How does the food at Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch taste?
I tore off a bite-sized piece of the cheese bomb potato pancake first — doesn't the cheese stretching look delicious?!!
Eaten plain, the crispy pancake and the nutty flavor of the cheese blended together and it was delicious!
But then dipping it in fire chicken sauce haha, the sauce is truly the kicker. Since it's an all-purpose sauce, this is honestly cheating..!! The sauce cuts through the richness of the cheese, and the cheese tames the spiciness of the sauce haha, I can't let go of this combo~

And then I twirled the pepperoni cream pasta together with the cheese and noodles for a bite! Wow... this is also a hidden gem! Haha the cream sauce isn't rich at all, it's just the right light, delicious taste!

Eating it together with the pepperoni, the slightly spicy, salty flavor of the pepperoni went so well with the thick sauce, absolutely delicious! It's a combo I'd never seen before — why is it so good...?!

The two of us had already had two bottles of soju in the first round...! Haha and here at Yuumangju we polished off another two bottles of soju in no time...haha
If the food hadn't been good, the soju wouldn't have gone down so easy, but since the food was delicious haha the soju went down smoothly — confirmed, a great snack spot in Seomyeon haha.

On our way out of Yuumangju, I looked at the stairs and saw this written there...!! We're all rising stars (yumangju) holding potential, more curious about the future than the present now!!!
After a drink or two haha, we came out feeling all sentimental!
Is Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch worth a second round?
A perfect bar for when you want to feel young energy again in Seomyeon! Yuumangju!!! It's located inside Seomyeon's Manchwi-gil, and when we visited on a Friday evening there were tons of people and it was loud and lively — the tension was genuinely up!
We ordered two side dishes and both were delicious, and even the complimentary garlic baguette was a hidden gem! Above all, the owner was so friendly, so we left having had a really pleasant time drinking :)
I usually like quiet bars, but there are days when you just want to drink in a high-energy setting haha. If that's the kind of hot bar you're looking for in Seomyeon, I recommend Yuumangju!!
