Gwangalli brunch café, chicken avo sandwich: Working Holiday Minrak
In short
Working Holiday Minrak is an ocean-view brunch café on the 7th floor of the Badamaru building on Minrak Subyeon-ro in Suyeong, Busan, facing Gwangan Bridge. On a weekday morning a family of three took a window seat and shared a chicken avo sandwich, fricassee pasta and a side of sweet pumpkin soup, and the child and the husband both finished their plates. With the view and the food both delivering, Working Holiday Minrak is the café the writer brings every visiting friend to.

Working Holiday Minrak: a weekday morning brunch café in Gwangalli
I finally made it to Gwangalli, the hottest spot in town right now. Before my son's school started back up, we snuck in a relaxed weekday morning — me, my husband and my little one hand in hand — for a leisurely Gwangalli brunch café outing ☀️

We usually avoid the weekend crowds, so going on a quiet weekday felt so refreshing and just put me in a great mood.

Working Holiday is a brunch café with a wide-open ocean view of Gwangan Bridge, and the interior has this cozy, exotic feel — enjoying delicious brunch here genuinely felt like being on vacation. Looking out at the sparkling sea through the window made for such a relaxing, healing time.

Badamaru 7th floor: floor-to-ceiling window seats facing Gwangan Bridge
This time we headed to the Working Holiday branch over in the Minrak-dong area, and the second we opened the door, the ocean view in front of us was seriously incredible 🌊

Through the floor-to-ceiling glass, the sparkling Gwangan Bridge and the wide-open ocean view fill your whole field of vision — just sitting there felt like instant healing 🪟

We settled into a window seat and looked over the menu, and honestly, there were so many things I wanted to eat it turned into a happy dilemma 📝

What a family of three ordered: chicken avo sandwich and fricassee pasta
That day, the menu we picked and happily polished off was the chicken avo sandwich and the fricassee pasta 🍽️

After ordering, it wasn't long before this savory, delicious smell drifted through the café and our food was set down looking absolutely mouthwatering.

What does the fricassee pasta at Working Holiday Minrak taste like?
The fricassee pasta had this deep, rich sauce soaked all through the noodles — it genuinely made me gasp 🍝

The soft, savory cream sauce paired with the chewy noodles was so addictive I ended up scraping the plate clean with my spoon 🥄
The rich, savory flavor filling my mouth had my husband and I unable to put our forks down until every last bit was gone ✨

The noodles were really unusual, actually, and that made it taste even better.

It was loaded with button mushrooms and meat too.

It's such a pretty-looking brunch. This is the place I take every friend who visits Busan without fail — and so far, everyone's been satisfied. Between the view and the food, it's hard not to love it.
If you visit right around sunset, you'll catch a dazzlingly beautiful view. It's also a great spot for taking gorgeous photos with a good cup of coffee, perfect for making special memories with someone you love.

The side dish: sweet pumpkin soup
For the side, we went with sweet pumpkin soup, and wow, it was so savory. Genuinely delicious.

Chicken avo sandwich: will a child eat it?
The chicken avo sandwich had chicken that was crispy outside and juicy inside, plus generous amounts of soft avocado piled between thick slices of bread — the visual alone grabbed my attention 🥑

I took a big bite and the mild chicken paired with the creamy avocado was such a fantastic combo 😋 It wasn't overpowering at all, and the fresh flavor of the ingredients really came through — my son ate it right up and my husband gave it a big thumbs up 🥪
Enjoying great brunch while looking out at that wide-open ocean view made all the everyday fatigue and stress just melt away 💖 There's no better place to soak up a leisurely weekday morning — from the vibe of the space to the taste of the food, it hit the spot for our whole family 🥰
We already promised each other that next time we get a free weekday, we'll try the other menu items we didn't get to this time — it really was a fully satisfying, precious little outing.
