Dong-gu, Daegu café for milk tea and blueberry waffles: Hands Coffee

Today I visited Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점), a great brunch spot in Dong-gu, Daegu, for a Dongchon Resort date. The view was so pretty, the atmosphere was lovely, there were delicious waffles and brunch options, and the dedicated parking made parking easy, too.

Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is at 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil in Dong-gu, and it is open from 10:00 to 23:00. There is dedicated parking.

It overlooks Dongchon Resort, so you can enjoy a lake view.

Dongchon Resort tends to be busy on weekends, so having dedicated parking makes it such a great place to visit by car!

Drinks, desserts, and brunch menu

There is a wide selection of drinks, coffee, cake desserts, bingsu (shaved ice), and brunch dishes.

They also have a variety of specialty hand-drip coffee beans, so you can choose filter coffee to suit your taste.

There are chocolate banana waffles, blueberry cream cheese waffles, Häagen-Dazs ice cream waffles, matcha red bean paste waffles, and granola peanut cream waffles. The brunch sets with pasta, salad, jambon-beurre, and more were very reasonably priced, too.

From the second floor to the rooftop: the atmosphere on each floor

Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a large café where you can enjoy a range of seating and atmospheres across the second, third, and fourth floors, plus the rooftop.

You can order through the kiosk or at the counter on the second floor.

What is the third floor like?

The third floor! It had a slightly quieter atmosphere than the second floor.

The bar tables are so pretty, and you can enjoy a relaxed green view from any seat.

The fourth floor is quiet and has floor seating! I thought it would be great for families with young children, couples, or married couples looking for a quiet date.

The rooftop was so nice as the weather had turned pleasantly cool.

The waffles are baked to order, so they take around 10 to 15 minutes.

The view is so pretty! Dongchon Resort Lake stretches out below, and you can see Palgongsan Mountain in the distance. It felt so relaxing and restorative.

The blueberry cream cheese waffle was ₩16,800. A freshly baked waffle comes topped with blueberries, cream cheese, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Milk tea was ₩6,300, and fresh fruit juice was ₩6,800. When I visited, banana was the only fresh fruit juice available, but the lineup can change depending on the ingredients available that day.

How did the menu items taste?

The milk tea was fragrant without being overly sweet. The banana juice was not too thick, and the banana's sweetness came through beautifully, so I enjoyed it so much.

The waffle's buttery flavor was incredible. The combination of sweet-tart blueberries, creamy cream cheese, and sweet, cool vanilla ice cream was heaven-bound! With spacious seating up to the fourth floor, varied atmospheres, and views to enjoy at leisure, this is a large café I highly recommend for a date at Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch.
