Red pepper on halved slices at Seongsu pizzeria Pizza Slice Seoul

In short

Pizza Slice Seoul is a pizza-by-the-slice shop on the basement floor near Exit 2 of Seongsu Station in Seongdong, Seoul. A white Hawaiian slice (7,800 won), a mushroom slice (7,400 won) and garlic bread (3,000 won) were each cut in half and shared with a friend, and red pepper flakes and hot sauce suited both slices well. Reheated in the oven and served fast, Pizza Slice Seoul works well for a busy lunch.

I went for pizza slices in Seongsu! Perfect for a quick, simple meal! It's a real Seongsu hotspot restaurant, with a great vibe too, so plenty of people were there just to take photos! Here's my review of "Pizza Slice Seoul"!

What is the seating like inside Pizza Slice Seoul?

The interior of Pizza Slice Seoul is done up in a clean, all-white design overall, with tables ranging from group seating to tables good for solo dining

There's a huge variety of tables, from tables for two to tables for four, with wide spacing between seats that made it really comfortable. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows you can see lush green plants, so it was nice to eat while quietly soaking in the atmosphere. No wonder it's a Seongsu hotspot restaurant — the vibe was really great!

Pizza Slice has an open kitchen, so if you're lucky you might even get to watch the pizza being made in real time?!

It was kept so spotlessly clean that I really liked it.

Pizza Slice Seoul menu and slice prices

True to being a pizza-by-the-slice specialist, there's a huge variety of pizza types.

Among the pizzas that looked delicious, I ordered a white slice for ₩7,800, a mushroom slice for ₩7,400, garlic bread for ₩3,000, and a cider and a cola at ₩3,000 each. The prices felt a bit steep, but considering Seongsu-dong prices in general, it wasn't bad. Takeout is available too, in case that's useful.

How fast do the slices arrive after ordering?

After ordering, there's a spot to the side where you can wash your hands, so I gave them a good scrub

then grabbed cold drinks and sat down.

They reheat the pizza in the oven and it comes out really fast!

Each slice is on the larger side, so it'd probably be filling enough as a full meal on its own. I ended up splitting mine in half with a friend who came along!

What does the white Hawaiian slice taste like?

Pizza Slice Seoul's white Hawaiian slice has snow-white melted cheese topped with pineapple, bacon, and onion.

The crust is on the thin side! That flavor where the sweet-tart pineapple juice bursts and mingles with the savory cheese and salty bacon — you know that taste, right??

To add some heat, I sprinkled on red pepper flakes!

What does the mushroom slice taste like?

The mushroom slice has big, thickly-sliced mushrooms scattered evenly across the top, almost casually.

Compared to the white Hawaiian I'd just eaten, this one is more strongly seasoned. Personally, this one suited my taste better! It's a pizza where the mushroom's texture and aroma really come through.

Since I love spicy food, I doused this one with a ton of red pepper flakes and hot sauce haha

What style is the garlic bread at Pizza Slice Seoul?

Pizza Slice Seoul's garlic bread (₩3,000) is about the size of a clenched fist (for an adult woman). The round bread comes generously coated in garlic sauce.

When I cut it in half, it looked so much like chicken breast that I briefly thought I'd ordered the wrong thing, but nope, taking a bite confirmed it's definitely bread. Haha.

I'd assumed it would be like a Korean-style garlic bread, but there was no sweetness — it leaned strongly savory instead. The bread had a dense texture with a good chewiness. The garlic aroma was strong too, so you really get to enjoy that intense garlic flavor.

Is Pizza Slice Seoul worth a stop in Seongsu?

This was my review of enjoying tasty pizza slices at "Pizza Slice Seoul". The interior is really clean, and the hot pizza comes out fast, so it'd be perfect for a busy lunch.

I had the white Hawaiian and mushroom slices, and personally the mushroom slice suited my taste a bit better >< There's such a wide variety of pizza types that it's fun to pick out whichever one you're craving!
