Daegu brunch café window seats: lemonade and cool mint tea at Dento

I visited Dento, a new brunch café near Banwoldang Station :) It's not far from Dongseongno either, so it's a great stop while shopping or on a date. The brick exterior and Dento logo were visible from far away and already full of atmosphere! Here's my visit review 🤎

Where is Dento and what are its hours?

Out front there were small plants and a hand-drawn-style standing sign, so I wanted to start taking photos before even going in. Two friendly owners greeted us warmly!

Wood-toned room and the window tables at Dento

Dento's interior is a warm wood tone, with a big long table sitting right in the middle of the store. Water and cutlery were set up for easy use. Small flowers and lighting were placed on the tables too, so the whole space was pretty ✨💝 We took a window-side table where the sunlight came in :)

From sandwiches to soup, dessert, coffee, tea, and even wine~! The sandwich lineup alone was pretty varied :)

What are the five bite-size open sandwiches like?

They brought the dish to our table so beautifully! The menu I was most looking forward to was Dento's five bite-size open sandwiches! I loved that five kinds arrive on one plate at once, so you can enjoy a little of each flavor.

The visuals alone were gorgeous — tomato, avocado, salmon, roasted vegetables, and a creamy topping each sat on their own piece of crisply toasted bread 🤤😋

Tomato open sandwich

First, the tomato sandwich led with the tomato's fresh tang and juiciness, meeting the crisp bread for a light start.

Avocado and salmon open sandwich

The avocado and salmon sandwich was the best combination — soft, nutty avocado plus the salmon's flavor 👍🏻✨ Even though it's bite-size, the toppings were generous, so it tasted fuller than expected.

Roasted vegetable open sandwich

The sandwich with roasted eggplant, mushroom, and broccoli had such deep flavor from the roasting! There was a light charred aroma outside while it stayed moist inside, so even as a vegetable option it wasn't boring at all, and it paired well with the drip coffee :)

Creamy sauce open sandwich

The sandwich topped with creamy sauce was great to alternate with the brighter, tangier ones before it. Being able to enjoy several flavors little by little makes Dento a solid recommendation for brunch 💛

Cool mint blended tea and lemonade at Dento

The blended mint tea had a subtle mint aroma spreading through, refreshing your mouth — great to drink alongside the food 🩵

If you love a tangy taste, I ⭐️strongly recommend⭐️ the lemonade! It had lemon's distinct bright aroma and sour flavor still alive, plus carbonation on top, so it was really refreshing.

If you're looking for a new brunch café with good vibes near Banwoldang Station, or want to casually enjoy a sandwich and a drink while out around Dongseongno, I recommend Dento :)
