Omokcheon-ro café in Suwon: Orange Breeze cream latte at Orange Bagel

In short

Orange Bagel is a three-floor bakery café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. On a weekend afternoon the writer ordered an orange Americano, an Orange Breeze cream latte, a Laugen butter bagel and a crab and shrimp bagel, then took a naturally lit seat on the 2nd floor, where even a wedding guest group meetup did not make the room feel crowded. With a wide parking lot and several group tables, Orange Bagel works well for gatherings or a drive out of the city.

૮₍´。・⩊・ 。`₎ა Hi, this is Simi! Today I'm bringing you my review of Orange Bagel, a large Suwon café that surprised me twice — once by its sheer size, and once by how many kinds of bagels it had. If you're looking for a bakery café in Suwon, this one's worth a visit :)

What the exterior, 1st floor and goods zone look like

Orange Bagel's orange brick building exterior

True to its name, Orange Bagel's orange-brick building was really striking! The building itself is so big it catches your eye from far away, and the parking lot is spacious enough that driving there is easy. A great spot if you're looking for a café near Seoul and want to make it a drive too!

Café entrance with orange-toned wood interior

The moment you step inside, it has a strong New York vibe — the orange-toned wood interior really suits the brand's concept!

Stylishly arranged merchandise display shelf

There's a goods zone on one side of the 1st floor with a good variety of merch, styled with such a good eye that it was fun just wandering around — this large Suwon café really delivers on that front!

Orange Bagel's own packaging box for 4 bagels

If you buy 4 bagels, they'll pack them in Orange Bagel's own box, which is so cute it would make a great gift too.

Various bagels laid out on display
Scallion cream bacon and pepperoni bagels on display

The variety of bagels was really impressive. Scallion cream bacon bagel, crab & shrimp bagel, salmon bagel, pepperoni bagel and more — there were so many options I genuinely agonized over what to pick, haha.

Refrigerated case with salmon and jambon-beurre bagels

Over by the fridge there were also salmon bagels and jambon-beurre bagels, plus glasses of wine, which seems like a nice way to set the mood.

Oven for warming bagels with a mural beside it

There's an oven next to the bagels so you can warm yours up a little! And while waiting for the oven, the mural on the wall next to it is so cute, haha.

Is the 2nd floor still relaxed for group meetups on a weekend?

Even on the way up to the 2nd floor with your food, there are so many interior details that it's fun to take photos and look around — this large Suwon café keeps delivering.

Even though it was a weekend and pretty busy, the space is so large that it never felt crowded, which I really loved. There were small tables as well as a variety of group seating, so the crowd was really mixed — dates, family gatherings, all kinds of groups. In particular, there must be a wedding hall nearby, since a large group of wedding guests were having their after-party gathering there, and with such varied seating, tables and a huge parking lot, it really seemed like the perfect café for group meetups.

On the 2nd floor, there's also a separate area where natural light pours in, so that's where we sat!

The 3rd floor is an outdoor terrace, and the mural there is full-on American vibes too.

How the Orange Breeze, orange Americano and two bagels taste

Table setting with two drinks and two bagels

We ordered orange Americano, Orange Breeze, a Laugen butter bagel, and a crab & shrimp bagel!

A cup of signature orange Americano
Orange Breeze, a cream latte-style drink

First up, the signature orange Americano! The orange added to the Americano blended really well with the coffee, giving it a refreshing citrusy taste. Orange Breeze was a cream latte-style drink, and the soft cream and orange scent went together better than I expected!

Crab & shrimp bagel loaded with crab meat and shrimp

And the crab & shrimp bagel! It looks so generously loaded >_< With plenty of crab meat and shrimp inside and a chewy bagel, it was filling enough to be a full meal. A menu I'd recommend to anyone looking for a brunch café in Suwon!

Laugen butter bagel with a whole slab of butter inside

The Laugen butter bagel comes with a whole slab of butter inside — with that combo of salty bagel and nutty butter, there's no way it could taste bad...

Is Orange Bagel worth the trip to Omokcheon-ro?

If you're looking for a drive course near Seoul or somewhere to visit in Gyeonggi, Orange Bagel, this large Suwon café, is worth checking out! It's so spacious that it's easy to relax and take your time, and with so many bagel varieties, picking was half the fun. Highly recommend Orange Bagel, a Suwon coffee spot with plenty of photogenic corners to explore!
