Hidden lemonade and cloudy rooftop at Orange Bagel, Suwon bagel café
In short
Orange Bagel is a three-floor New York-style bagel café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon. A family of three arrived at 1:30pm the day after a hike and shared five bagels — including the last Laugen butter bagel left on the shelf — with an orangeano (7,000 won) and orange juice (6,000 won), then climbed to the third-floor rooftop photo zone even though the sky was grey. A hidden lemonade from Orange Bagel's receipt review event made a clean finish to the meal.

After hiking Mount Suri yesterday I was a bit worn out, so while searching for a simple lunch spot and things to do around Gyeonggi-do, I came across Orange Bagel, a brunch café in Suwon, and decided to visit. Being just outside Seoul, it was very convenient to get to.
On September 13, 2026, Suwon was cloudy with rain, with a low of 18.1°C and a high of 23.8°C.

How to find the Orange Bagel parking lot
While looking for parking you'll spot the big Orange Bagel sign along the street. It's a stylish sign — already gives off that American vibe.
The parking space in front of the store is spacious, but when it was full, the parking attendant directed us to park at Usolchon. Just follow the attendant's directions when parking.
What kind of café is Orange Bagel?
An invitation into a space filled with care and New York feeling, built around bagels made with sincerity. Orange Bagel says every menu item is made with care from dawn each day, with each customer in mind. Every corner of the space was also carefully designed so you can feel a human touch.
At Orange Bagel, a large bagel café carrying New York's energy and spirit, they hope you'll enjoy a moment that feels like a little trip. For the best flavor, they say they use only French and Canadian flour and French Président butter to deliver the deep flavor of a real bagel. Orange Bagel hopes to be a small piece of happiness in your day.
First floor: the bagel display and the room
The first thing that caught my eye as soon as I arrived was the building's exterior. True to its name, a warm and fresh feeling comes through everywhere, and combined with the stylish building design, it naturally draws your eyes from far away.
Rather than just a place to grab a bagel, the space itself felt like a sight worth seeing. The building's mood blended naturally with the surroundings, so photos came out quite striking. Even before stepping inside, the exterior built up my anticipation for what kind of space this would be.

Stepping inside, the order counter caught my eye first. Around the clean yet stylish counter, all kinds of bagels and menu items came into view, making me want to pick up one of each just by looking. The overall vibe was polished and comfortable without feeling overdone, so my mood lifted the moment I walked in. Browsing the bagels before ordering was especially fun.

In one corner near the stairs to the second floor, American-style decor items make it a perfect photo hotspot.
And now, finally, time to go bagel shopping. Around 1:30pm there were a lot of people already at the store. I had to hurry before my bagel got taken.
I couldn't help but gasp taking photos — the bagels looked like models. They were laid out so beautifully I thought they might be fakes on the shelf, but they're all real, edible bagels. And the lighting is no joke. I'm not great at photography, but every shot came out like a life photo. Take a look at the bagels I photographed — not models, all delicious bagels.

I quickly grabbed the last one of the new menu item, the "Laugen bagel." Since I claimed the very last one, it's no longer on the display — it's in my tray. I really felt just how popular the new "Laugen bagel" is.

Across from the bagels, drinks and other bread items are displayed.

There's even Suwon Samsung Bluewings-branded drinks.

There's a wide variety of drinks, and I planned to try one of the new signature drinks.

And straight ahead, a striking atmosphere came into view. Walking further into the store, the space was much larger and more atmospheric than I expected. Red brick, exposed concrete ceilings, and black frames combined for a vintage yet modern industrial feel.
With round lights softly glowing here and there, it felt like being in some bagel café in New York. The big mirrors and lettering covering the walls really elevated the mood. Each table had a slightly different feel, so where you sat gave you a different experience too.

There are only a few seats on the first floor, so let's head up to the second floor to grab a seat first, then come back down to order. Here's the way up to the second floor.
On the way up I spotted an oven — good, since I needed to order my kid's pizza bagel warmed up in the oven.
Second floor: the stairwell and indoor seating
A deep red wall filled with antique frames. It had that charming vintage, classic feel of looking at a wall in an old New York gallery. Looking at each frame one by one, the space itself felt like a small exhibition — almost like a fine art museum.

Going deeper inside, the mood shifted again. High ceilings, exposed pipes, and lights placed here and there combined for a free, casual New York bagel shop feel. Natural light pouring in through the big windows kept the space from feeling stuffy, and with the warm lighting added on top, it felt surprisingly cozy.
With every table busy with customers, it felt lively, like a bustling brunch café. Each table had a slightly different vibe too, so it was fun to pick your seat based on your taste. Overall it was a comfortable space blending vintage New York feeling with casualness, great for spending relaxed time over a bagel.
Looking around, this kind of retro corner also caught my eye. LP records and a vintage audio setup filling the wall, along with old frames and furniture, gave off a strong analog feel like turning back time. The LP and record player were especially memorable — items you don't see much these days, which made them feel even more special.
I came for the bagels but found it fun discovering these hidden vintage elements everywhere. Beyond the delicious bagels, the space felt like it had New York's retro spirit tucked into every corner, making it fun just to look around.
On the second floor there's also a terrace-like outdoor-feeling space. It has a bright atmosphere, with plenty of American-style decor items too.
There's a restroom on the second floor. Even inside the restroom, you could feel the building's atmosphere. Cold water, tissues, and other items were laid out throughout.
Third floor: the stairwell up to the roof
On the stairs up to the rooftop, one wall was boldly decorated in deep red, grabbing your attention right away. Above it, vintage frames, paintings, and photos of all sizes were freely arranged, giving the classic yet exotic feeling of an old New York gallery wall transplanted here.
Photos of New York streets paired with antique frames added a sense of storytelling to the space. Each frame had a different design and color palette, so it was fun to look closely at each one. The heavy mood of the deep red wall combined with the vintage charm of the old frames to complete Orange Bagel's own distinctive space.
What is the third-floor rooftop photo zone like?
Despite the cloudy weather today, going up to the rooftop revealed yet another kind of space. Surrounded by red brick, the rooftop had an exotic feeling, like standing atop some building in New York.
What especially caught my eye was the big "ORANGE BAGEL" metal sign sitting atop the building! With red brick and the vintage metal sign together, Orange Bagel's New York feeling came through even more strongly. Through openings in the brick you could catch glimpses of the surrounding scenery, and with the open sky included in the view, it felt open and relaxed rather than cramped.

A place that's more than just somewhere to eat bread — it gives artistic inspiration! The bold paint splashed on the red brick and the rough brush strokes were exactly my taste. I don't think there's a more perfect photo zone for holding up your bagel and taking a proof shot.

What a family of three ordered at Orange Bagel, with prices
Looking at Orange Bagel's interior made me hungry. Time to eat some bagels. Our family of three ordered five bagels and three drinks.
- Scallion cream bacon: ₩8,500
- Bacon egg mayo: ₩8,500
- Pepperoni: ₩6,300
- Laugen butter: ₩6,900
- Pepperoni: ₩6,300 (kid's extra order)
- Iced Americano: ₩5,500
- Orange-ano: ₩7,000
- Orange juice: ₩6,000
The bagels were bigger than I expected. Finishing all of this seemed like it would leave us plenty full. Dad got the Laugen butter bagel, Mom got the scallion cream bacon bagel, our kid got the pepperoni bagel, and we tried the bacon egg mayo since it was the biggest one. Time to take photos and dig in — walking around the store had made us genuinely hungry.
1. Orange juice
Instead of an artificially over-sweet orange drink, this had the distinctive sweet-tart taste of orange with a subtle sense of real juice, making it clean and easy to drink. Overall it was refreshing without an overwhelming sweetness — a charming drink and a good match for the bagels.
2. Orangeano
At first the combination of orange and coffee felt slightly unfamiliar, but once I actually tried it, it worked better than expected. Behind the coffee's subtle bitterness, a hint of orange's refreshing, sweet aroma rose up, giving it a distinctly different feel from a regular iced Americano. Especially with the coffee's bitterness and the orange's freshness both coming through, it's a unique combination worth trying if you like something different.
3. Iced Americano
I heard this place is known for good coffee in Suwon, so I tried it. The coffee had a nutty, savory flavor with subtle bitterness, and the aftertaste was clean rather than heavy. Paired with the bagel, the coffee didn't overpower the bagel's plain, nutty flavor and complemented it well — a sip in between bites kept my palate clean.
4. Laugen butter bagel
The newly released bagel, the Laugen butter bagel! This is the bagel I grabbed as the very last one. Hearing that Orange Bagel had a new item out, I got curious and tried it right away.
The chewy bagel combined with a rich, nutty butter flavor plus a subtle saltiness made for a surprisingly addictive taste. The butter's flavor spread smoothly through my mouth and paired well with the bagel's plain, chewy texture.

It felt a bit different from the typical bagels you usually eat, so if you like trying new items, this is one worth a try. Since it's a new item, expectations were high, and if you enjoy a nutty butter flavor, this new bagel should satisfy you.
5. Pepperoni bagel
With one bite, the chewy bagel texture combined with the pepperoni's distinct saltiness and savoriness made for a great balance of flavors. The saltiness paired well with coffee too, especially with the iced Americano, letting you enjoy it cleanly without feeling greasy.

The plain bagel combined with salty pepperoni made for a hearty, satisfying menu item.
6. Bacon egg mayo bagel
Soft egg mayo combined with salty bacon made for a savory bagel rich in umami. The more you chewed the chewy bagel, the more its plain flavor came through, with bacon's saltiness added in between, making it hard to stop reaching for more. The egg mayo blended in smoothly, giving an overall moist, savory feeling too.
It's satisfying enough for a simple meal, and if you enjoy the combination of salty bacon and savory egg mayo, this is a menu item you'll enjoy.
7. Scallion cream bacon bagel
The combination of scallion and bacon worked better than expected in this bagel. The chewy bagel first delivers the salty, savory flavor of bacon, followed by the fragrant, slightly sharp taste of scallion, keeping it clean and not greasy.
The scallion freshened up the bacon's rich umami, so it wasn't heavy even after eating a lot, and a subtle savory flavor kept rising the more I chewed. The combination of salty bacon and fragrant scallion suits anyone looking for a different kind of bagel.
8. Pepperoni bagel (second helping)
Our kid wanted just one more pepperoni bagel, so we went back down to order and had it warmed in the oven again. When a kid wants something, what can you do, haha. But kids are honest about taste — flavor doesn't lie.
While focused on eating, I noticed a nice illustration drawn on top.
What does the receipt review event give you?
Lastly, definitely do the review event. If you do the review, you get to choose between a hidden drink or bagel chips — I'd already had enough bagels today, so I chose the hidden drink.
Since it's a hidden drink you don't know what you'll get, but mine turned out to be lemonade. After the bagels and coffee, the lemonade was a very clean way to finish.

Final thoughts on Orange Bagel
Today, while looking for somewhere to heal my tired body after yesterday's hike, I found a great bagel spot, ended up full, and treated myself to delicious orange juice and coffee. Looking back now, from the moment I walked in, Orange Bagel's exotic, American-style interior refreshed my mood, and I remember being surprised by the model-like beautiful bagels and then thoroughly enjoying eating them.
Especially the new Laugen butter bagel left a lingering impression — I'd want to have it again next time I visit. And the interior decor and lighting here make for great photos.
Come with family, a loved one, or close friends, enjoy the delicious bagels, and take plenty of pretty photos. If you want to gift yourself a nice bit of healing after a tiring day with a tasty bagel and a refreshing glass of orange juice, Orange Bagel is a good place to stop by.
