Suwon rooftop café for a weekend date: 3 bagels at Orange Bagel
In short
Orange Bagel is a large American-style bakery café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. On a weekend visit, the writer and her partner ordered three bagels — a Laugen bagel, an angbutter bagel (red bean paste and butter) and an olive tomato bagel — with an iced americano for 5,500 won and a lemonade for 7,000 won, and the sweet-salty Laugen bagel became the favorite. With seats still free on a weekend plus photo spots on the 2nd floor and rooftop, Orange Bagel is worth keeping on a Suwon date route.

Orange Bagel, a large café in Omokcheon-dong, Suwon, on a weekend date
Orange Bagel is a large bakery café at 129 Omokcheon-ro, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, open daily 07:30–21:00 (last order 20:30). If you're looking for a bagel spot with Instagram vibes, I highly recommend Orange Bagel!!!!!!!
I found this café for a weekend date with my partner and I'm already planning to go back. Right from the entrance it feels like a sign you'd spot walking down a street in Hollywood!!!
I heard this place is popular with bread lovers so I was nervous about waiting in line, but it's such a huge café that there were plenty of seats!!!! It's a big café in Omokcheon-dong, and the exterior of the building is totally American vibes. Took a photo of my partner here.

They say they use a special dough with a high protein content, which is basically a legal excuse for someone like me who's watching my protein to eat bread.

What bagels are on the 1st-floor bread display at Orange Bagel?
At Orange Bagel's 1st floor bread display corner, you pick bagels onto a tray yourself. So many things looked delicious that we circled around and around, and ended up picking three bagels between the two of us!!!
The 1st floor seating already has great interior and a spacious layout!! There are so many types of bagels and cream cheese that I fell into a happy dilemma of which one to choose....

The bagels themselves are huge, so just looking at them makes you feel full (lol, kidding).

There were also lots of sandwich-style bagels good for a meal, and one chocolate bagel that I agonized over for a while.

Everything looked delicious, how am I supposed to pick just three. I took a photo of the drinks lined up perfectly straight — such a great shot. Suwon's bagel spot really is different.

Drink prices, the self-service corner and the air fryer
For drinks at Orange Bagel we ordered an iced americano for ₩5,500 and a lemonade for ₩7,000. I saw reviews saying the cream soup is good too — I'll have to come back in winter and try it hot!!!

There's a self-service corner next to the counter so you can eat your bread comfortably. When you pick up your drinks, you grab forks and such there, and if you have bagels left over there are takeout boxes too — unlike other places, they even have disposable forks and knives ready. Amazing.

And there's an air fryer near the stairs, so you can toast your own bagel. I was too dazzled by the bread to even notice it was there and just ate as is. But it was still crazy good!!
How the Laugen, angbutter and olive tomato bagels tasted
My personal favorite at Orange Bagel was the Laugen bagel!! First time trying one, and it instantly became my top pick.

First time tasting a Laugen bagel — the outside is salty, the inside is sweet, and it's got a whole slab of butter inside so the richness is insane, honestly out of control. So sweet and salty!!!!!!!!! My mouth is watering just writing this!!!
Next, the red bean butter bagel. Never fails. My partner and I both unanimously picked this one and it was a great choice. The chewy texture of the bagel combined with sweet red beans and savory butter is amazing — my mouth is watering again just thinking about it (why didn't I buy more).

It was so good we took a commemorative photo.

We also ordered an olive tomato bagel. Since everything else felt sweet, we wanted something salty — this one had a huge amount of olives on top and was absolutely delicious. No butter in this one, so we toasted half of it in the air fryer, and it was so good it was mind-blowing.
The drinks came out fast, and when your throat starts feeling dry, one sip and you can keep eating bagels endlessly.
The goods zone and the framed Suwon football jersey
One corner of Orange Bagel is lined with custom goods that stir up the urge to collect!!!!

Looks like a dachshund is the main mascot here. So cute I almost bought everything!!!

Since it's in Suwon, there's a Suwon jersey proudly framed on the wall, along with stamps and pens and more.

There was also a mirror, so I couldn't resist a mirror selfie. Heading upstairs to walk off the food, we spotted a vintage TV that we ended up appearing in, so we took a photo. Can't believe there's such a fun selfie zone here — I regret going upstairs so late!!
2nd floor or rooftop: where should you sit at Orange Bagel?
Orange Bagel also has a rooftop-style space on the 2nd floor plus a separate actual rooftop, and I regretted eating on the 1st floor. Should have scouted all the seating first before sitting down.
Such an atmospheric café, sigh. Even on a weekend it's so spacious that it never feels crowded, which was totally my thing. The place is clean and just great.
We went to check out the rooftop too and regretted it all over again. This spot is even better. The weather was great, a gentle breeze, and the sky was so pretty, sigh.

Took a photo since I was sad it was almost over. There's even a space like this on the rooftop!!! It feels like Harry Potter, or Europe?!!? There are atmospheric photo zones all over the store, so wherever you shoot, the photos come out great...... We took so many that my phone ran out of storage...

Ending on a photo of us basically in a blood sugar spike from how good everything was.
